I'll second Travis's comments.....this field isn't the same as the "black grease" we have at the IL plow day site. Travis's field plowed just fine with over 1/2" of rain the day before one year!!!!

Now, if we were 5 miles north of here, different story. Ground up there is the blackest, stickiest dirt I've ever seen. Used to pull the trip tongue off the old JD 3-bottom plow if it pulled too hard!!

If anyone has a tractor with a Gannon or front and rear blades that would want to help make the pulling track and help maintain it. Please send me an email or post here.
Thanks

The JD guys are always looking for a project. If their machines could possibly handle it, maybe they'd jump in ;-)

Just got off the phone with Cy, AKA Sneaky Pete's Pullers.

Everything is set and ready to go.
We also have the track prep thing worked out.
We will 10 or 12 tractors with 10" plows to make one pass for the track.

ALSO,
Hooking to the sled will require a STOCK rear hitch or a pulling hitch only. So if anyone has a few extras laying around, please bring them for those that don't have one attached already.

Hey Travis...Are you sellin tickets yet for the customary Friday night J.D. edition of "MONSTER GARAGE"?

What motels/hotels are close? We were going to camp out somewhere, but now more people are coming along so we would rather stay in a hotel. Any info on whats close would help. Thanks!

Kurt, the raffle tickets are for a Harley and a plasma TV.

Anything that has to do with a grinder and a JD are free

We would like to have a "Plow for Paul" round or two or more on Friday night at Plow Day 13. Robb and I will have to decide yet on the amount per round, probably a couple of bucks or so, but the money is going to go right to Paul and his family. Give what you can... think of it like a dollar dance!

Anyways... we will try to do this on Friday, probably early evening.

Thanks!

Anybody close to South East Ky heading to PD 13 ?
I've got a B&S 16 horse V-twin I'd like to send to the PD as a raffle item for Paul.
