I have read in various other forums that a QA36A or QA42A is an adjustable mounting for the narrow or wide frames I have a 107 narrow frame and would like to know what needs to be done to fit it to my Cadet thanks in advance

Correct, the QA36A and QA42A have an adjustable width attachment they will fit either a narrow frame or a wide frame. Here's the page from the manual that has info on the width settings.
