Thanks for the welcome everyone. I am going to start testing engine and disassemble next weekend. I tried searching but any guidance on parts list? Mainly thinking new belt for starter and carb kits for now.
 
Welcome Tyler. Every so often, I have wrestled in my mind with keeping vs. selling my October 1964 Cub Cadet 100 tractor. Last October - December, I took Marty's suggestion and spent time and money for required NOS parts and expert labor to finally get this antique tractor and its 42" mower deck running fine again. That process has been a lot of fun. It brings me joy caring for this awesome working Americana machine. Tyler, hope you have a great experience too with your two Cub Cadets. Marty, wishing you a speedy and complete recovery! Your fully restored Original and 100 are totally inspiring and a joy for me to see. Perhaps someday I will take the next steps to get mine looking as absolutely beautiful as yours.

I have tried searching but how do you remove the front axle pivot pin on 100? Seems there are 2 pins in front but not sure how to remove them. Also Should I move over to different thread for builds?
 
Also got the bug and bought another 100 and 782 in pretty rough condition. Let me know your thoughts on them. IH hub caps are nice but only have rear.

First thought is that the Texas sun is brutal. You will not regret having a working 782 in your stable, or two 100s to share implements, etc.

There is only one axle pivot pin. From experience, I would say the pin is seized in the axle. The only way to get the axle off is to cut the pin on both sides between the frame and axle. There is also a collar on the front part of the frame where a coiled spring pin goes to hold the pin in place.
I had to use the press at work to get the pins out of two of my axles. You can see my posts under the thread of "finally doing a 100" page one and two.
