Well, I walked out to the shop this morning to find the 2072's front left tire was flat. The tires are dry rooted enough that its leaking through the cracks.

Sooo.... To open this can of worms, turfs, tri ribs, or V61's?

Is that right? V61 or V71... I can't remember the brand. Starts with Verstr....
I really like those tires. Where do you find those tires and how much are they?

They are called Vredestein's, Click the SPONSOR button above for,

Awesome, thanks Charlie.

I would like some opinions about tire type. I have turfs on front now, but they may the grass down as you drive and the Haban 60" deck has a hard time lifting it back up. So a day after I mow, the yard is striped from the front tires.
I thought tri ribs might help because it basically rolls on the center rib, but honestly I think they look a little funny when they get that big in tire size...

18x8.50x8 V61's........the ONLY tire for a SGT......I have them on all of mine and love them!!!!!!

I ordered my V61's from Aaron last night. Hopefully be here by end of week.

That looks great, I've been wanting V61's for awhile now for the Super. I want them for the 782 also. I my have to strategically place some nails and screws in the yard so I can convince the wife I need them for that one too.

Nic,
I cant say how they preform yet but I have to admit they do look mean. I know on a 1466 we have that DID have 4 ribs on them for one spring. My father did cuss them a lot when he planted corn. He put 3 ribs on it and they are all we run. With that being said I order and installed a set on the 782d I am building. But haven't left the driveway or road with them yet. Steve talked me into them. Hopefully soon I will have my own opinion of them. I got all four of my tires for that from Aaron. He is such a cool guy to deal with. And I will do business with him again.

Well, here they are! Despite the listed tire size being the same, they are over 1" taller than the old turfs. But these look good. I just have to get used to the size.

Secondly and for the record, the are TUBELESS tires. The old turfs had bolt in valve stems so I assumed they were too...NOPE! they had the expensive tubes that, you guessed it. FAILED. Did I mention I don't like tubes.

And if your curious about that peek of the shop in there. Here it is just after I put the Super back in. There is my 2072, 782, 128, 70, Super 1050 puller chassis, and parts 782 in there. Along with the BMW Z3 and my old '78 Prostreet F150.

Looks good! I'm surprised you can fit so many toys into that garage.
