Charlie P. If'n you do get one of those critters it may just traumatize your other Cub Cadets too much. You may want some of us to come up and give your Cubs counseling by taking them to our residences.

It does look like that the Craftsman version has a different transmission and shift pattern. Most of the Craftsman from that era were AYP and that does look like a AYP product, but then again AYP, MTD, Murray - not much difference in those units.

Keith L: That mysterious character in the MFG code turns out to be the letter "I". I had guessed it might be an "L" in an earlier post but the photo solves that.

Also, the photo shows why we are having such a hard time with it. At one point I thought it might be a fake, but it is now clear that it was manufactured and sold only in Canada by an MTD subsidiary in Kitchener Ont., and badged as a Cub Cadet with a Canada-only model # on the hood, just for that market. Simply not on our radar....

A little exploring around on the MTD Canada website, it turns out that MTD Canada is located in Kitchener, Ont. (Surprise, Surprise!! NOT!!)

Don L: It also says that for manuals and tech assistance for models before 2001, you'll have to phone MTD Tech Support in Kitchener, Ont....

Last night I checked the Yard-Man and MTD brochures that I have, I did not find any look-alikes to the LTS125. In any case, sounds like the mystery has been solved.

Hello all new to the group!
I have one big problem, I bought a LTX 1050 with a tripple bagges set up.
My problem is it get plugged up no matted what I do, I go slow, cut more often, and have tried the best blades. Cub cadet won't help me and niether will MTD! I am told by John Deere that anything over a 40" deck they recomend a blower assist. I can't even find one that is affordable fo my machine. Let alond find one offered for this machine. I know I am not the only one out there with the same problem! Any help would be appreciated. I am ready to sell it and go Green!

Robert , are all parts of mower/bagger installed correctly ? Are you operating engine at WOT? Are you mowing dry grass & cutting less amount of length off at one time? Does bagger have 50" or 54" baffle? How about discharge chute plate(783-06694)? Do you have operator manual? Are correct blades on your mower (50/54)? Why do you want to bag grass? If you blow grass back on lawn with regular mowing you will give your lawn approximately one application of Nitrogen ( 1#/1,000 sq. ft. ) over a mowing season.
