What, if any, is the difference between the connecting rod from a KT-17 Series II (52-067-61) and the connecting rod from a M-18 (52-067-67). They both have the same stroke dimension (2.75") and the same crankpin diameter (1.3733 to 1.3738).

Roland,
I think the m has bigger wrist pins. I dont have the books in front of me, I am at work.

I received an E-mail from the Technical Service Dept at Kohler. The 52-067-67S supersedes the 52-067-61.
Looks like the same connecting rod for the KT-17 & M-18.

Roland- Did Kohler respond to a request you made, or are they monitering the forum, like Charlie says MTD does for the parts look-up?

Curtis:

I took a wild chance and fired off an E-mail to Kohler. Much to my surprise, within a couple of hours I had a complete and concise answer.
