Just bought a 1430?

Just bought this thing yesterday, 14hp Kolher runs good, needs a pto clutch. I haven't been able to find any info on this mower by the 1430 on the hood. I haven't taken time to get the serial # off it yet. It looks pretty good, paint is a little faded. It's got a 44" deck.

I need to get all three of my Cub Cadet running again. Pretty bad when you gotta use a Murray.

Rob, I believe the 1430 is considered a Lawn Tractor and was made in 1992. I might have a brochure at home that covers it. I'll have to see if I can find it tonight. Here's a 1991 model 1420 I think the 1430 is just an updated version of this.

Thanks for the reply, I still haven't had time to check the #s on it. Spent a week in the Smokies, just got back yesterday and worked on equipment and cut hay today.

Rob, I checked on Tuesday and I don't have the brochure with the 1430. I have the one on either side, the 1420 and the 1440, but no 1430. (

The 1440 is bigger and I believe is considered a garden tractor where the 1420 and 1430 are lawn tractors.

The 1430 is a Lawn Tractor and was made in 1992 & 1993.
The Factory Number for 1992 is 132-253-100
The Factory number for 1993 is 133-253-100
Serial number range for 1992 is 207,401 - 224,000
Serial number range for 1993 is 224,001 - 239,300

The 1430 has a Hydrostatic transmission with a KHMV14S engine, Spec # 56509.

Myron, thank you for the info for Rob. Question for you: is the 1430 basically the same as the 1420 that I posted the other day? My brochures with the 1440 show it to be a garden tractor of the "cyclops" design.

1993(?) Cub Cadet model 1440.

Print code for the brochure that has the 1440 in it.

Kraig...The info I have is that the 1420 had two headlights and the 1430 was a cyclops... otherwise the same. I've got a spec sheet on the 1420 I can post if anyone is interested.
