IH Cub Cadet 682 coil

New to the forum, so please forgive me if I've not posted correctly, but here's my problem......

Just bought a red 682 at an auction. Power is a Kohler Twin 17, and the coil is missing.

Does anyone have a coil, or can offer direction?

Hi Bob, yes you're in the wrong section but no matter. Have you tried any of the vendors listed above? I like CC Specialties myself. If they haven't got it/ can't get it.... He'll tell you where to go.. (pun intended ) and get it.

What is the difference between 12 volts car coil and kohler coil?

One has an internal resistor and one don't.
Shouod say that on the coil that is on your Cub.
Needs to have an internal resistor

I use a one from a motorcycle. Since I got it through work it was just more convenient at the time. Has been working great for about 2 years. Emgo Universal Ignition Coil 48-98618 plus its chrome.
