I'm in Cleveland Ohio and just put a lot of time and money into the tractor and took it out to do some mowing and the clutch locked up. Any suggestion?

Upgrade NowThe clutch will not disengage and there is no way to turn it off. With the belt off and no power to it it is very had to turn the clutch by hand and you can hear some grinding like noise inside.David, your terminology "locked up" is not an explanation we can analyze...Doesn't kick in,won't kick out, won't turn at all...could be mechanical or elec...??
IF your lucky, you can take it off/apart, clean things up and reset the air gap and be good to go. Link below to do that.I'm in Cleveland Ohio and just put a lot of time and money into the tractor and took it out to do some mowing and the clutch locked up. Any suggestion?
Or you can just replace it, I have aftermarket and New Old Stock. The clutch will not disengage and there is no way to turn it off. With the belt off and no power to it it is very had to turn the clutch by hand and you can hear some grinding like noise inside.
I have never taken one apart but I do plan on taking it off after I finish mowing. I will be gone Friday and Sunday so that might have to wait until Monday.Sounds like the clutch bearing on the crankshaft is bad.
I plan on doing that Monday but thanks for the link all I have in the original manualIF your lucky, you can take it off/apart, clean things up and reset the air gap and be good to go. Link below to do that.
OR, if your not so lucky, you can replace the bearing with a little work.

The bearing on the pulley is locked up will not move at all. So that is the core problem I need a bearing.David, it does sound like a bad bearing ..but before you remove it would be good to test input wire to be sure you were getting 12 v at the clutch..
OK thanks I check it out tomorrowI took the old bearing to an auto parts store (Car Quest) locally, they matched it up, no problem.
Look for the #'s on the old bearing, should not be an issue finding one. Try the Bay first, found all mine for a 374 Haban build there last year
It is the bearing what are the prices for replacing?Or you can just replace it, I have aftermarket and New Old Stock.
