I have zero reason for the 14 &16 50s staying warm in the garage. Have plans to pick up a 1250 as well. not sure definition of addiction but I plan to have some fun. Have an 1810 on the back porch in a box. I picked up the 16 then 18 and the 14 in bout 3 weeks round xmas - presents to me.
Have an 1864 on the way for parts on the 1810. Plan to sell the included deck. Will also have a second rear end and manual transmission to sell.
These might see snow pushing and some lawn mowing. Backyard is 7 8ft panels X 9 ft panels and is time consuming with a standard 21 in deck. I imagine both the 44 & 50 inch decks will make short work on the backyard and make the front yard a breeze bout 4 passes.
Have a blade that took a hard hit and plan was to move snow but didn't get much this year. maybe march will give powder. Want to just plow the neighborhood ha ha.
Went a lil nuts and bought manuals & parts books for most of them. More to come......

Did a small simple mod to keep the batts topped in the cold garage. Amazon can be helpful. Gas cap is too tall - not sure how to combat that yet.

Battery maintain / trickle with batt disconnect. Unplug & twist - starts right up

The gas cap should have a vent hole in it, if you alter the cap it likely won’t vent properly and the gas won’t flow properly.
Right & current setup the hood won't close completely so don't want the hood rattle either. Nor do I want the wrong cap or the cracked cap it came with. Cut it & rearrange breathing for it ?

How much too tall is the gas cap? There might be room to lower the mounting brackets for the tank. I think I would look into lowering the tank before I altered the gas cap.

Too tall might be half inch. Hood comes down on top & have a gap that a finger fits. The tank can be lowered ? Yes I'd rather try that than my plan. Didn't even consider that option. Any tips from one that has tried. Manual reading first. Thanks you

Could this jerry rig a jump start ?

No. The same company makes a different product for that specific purpose.

You already have the wrong cap. Neither is correct. Get the original IH-109037-C2 cap, the Stens replacement for it, or their 2" cap with no gauge. No need to modify things or otherwise reinvent the wheel.

So I was given incorrect part number & now have used said cap. Twice. Thank you i will look this up & try again. Might have some gas as for sale.

Thought I had the correct one cause I don't want the gauge style cub cap. I wanta regular cap from stens
