New member with a 2023 Cub Cadet XT1 LT50. Had someone break into my garage and tried to take the mower. He couldn't get it to run (I guess) so he took the battery and all my gas cans. Now with a new battery, it starts and will move fwd and back, but dies when the PTO is engaged. Fuse near the battery blows. Tried all the different switch positions with no luck. I did install a 35-amp fuse. It doesn't shut down, but it doesn't engage PTO either. (pushed in PTO switch within 2 or 3 seconds) fuse didn't blow and hour meter came back on. Engine did not shut down.
Any ideas or recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks, Bruce

I think you'll find most folks here are focused on the older machines. Nevertheless, shouldn't a 2023 Cub still be under warranty?

Warranty isn't going to cover damage from vandalism/attempted theft.

Blown fuse means there is a short somewhere. Look for a pinched wire or a portion of the harness out of place. Do NOT install larger fuses...that just turns the wire into the fuse.
