Nope, nope, nope!
I remove the batteries from all my Cubs in the fall and reinstall in the spring w/no issues whatsoever.
Shut the fuel off and run till the carb is dry and use no additives except for 1 oz. per gallon of MMO.

Not true, I have a battery disconnect switch that I shut off every time after using my 149, never a has a problem with charging when restarting again.
