I have a cub 1050 when I try to start it it just clicks I am thinking solenoid is there a way I can test it? Thought about cleaning the wiring conconnections and trying it.

I always start with cleaning the battery terminals and connectors with a wire brush, then coat with vaseline - usually the first culprit.

And don't forget the ground connections!

Dielectric grease is made for that, and will not absorb water like vaseline does.
