Has anyone converted a Brinley pull behind dethatcher to a sleeve hitch. I would like to use the sleeve hitch for up and down and to engage and disengage the ground. Would make backing into areas easier.

Not sure which style dethacher you have but it should be fairly easy to attach a sleeve hitch Yoke to it. Brinly made one that was designed for the sleeve hitch.

Here I did the inverse -- grabbed one from Xtreme Motorworks because I didn't know Charlie had them!

Ewwwww, is that " green" thing rated for ground contact attachments?
Wish I had a way to post a picture of the Catagory O dethatcher I built for my 982 20 years ago. Back when I mowed with the 982 all the time it really reduced thatch build-up.
I also built a sleeve hitch semi-mointed lawn aerator about 35 years ago to pull with the sleeve hitch I made for my #72 CC. It pulls about as hard as my 10" moldboard plow. It's not a plug aerator, does not leave plugs of dirt all over my yard, so it looks like a wild pack of dogs pooped all over it. The 1/2" by 4" spikes poke holes 3-4 inches deep, actually slots because of the forward movement of the aerator. I haven't used it for several years. It REALLY improved the general condition of the grass in my yard.
There's a picture of my 982 hooked to the aerator the one year I pulled it with the 982 on this forum somewhere. The aerator actually needs to be wider to work with the 982, 7 spiked wheels instead of only 5, plus with the BIG engine in the 72 it could pull it too. I'm getting lots of exposed roots around trees in the yard, makes it hard on the aerator, I bent one spike several years ago. BIG job getting the center wheel out to straighten one of the six spikes.

The "Green" thing is a bear! I've plowed dirt with it, pulled a York Rake, an aerator and a dethatcher. No issues what so ever! Nice and qwuiet with loads of instant torque.

That is a light load for the "Green" thing...
....I pull my 1000# trailer loaded with another 500+ pounds of firewood up and down hills.........In 4th gear!......This is why trains use electric motors!

Before I sell my gas 782, with liquid filled AG tires, I'd like to do a Pull of War against the two. The tires and weight of the 782 would win out I believe. The only limiting factor with the electric tractor is weight. And since I use it to mow, I don't want it too heavy on the lawn.
