I'm in my 60's. I used to be able to easily buy gas line by the foot. Go into a hardware store and they'd have boxes on the shelf of many different diameters.
The heavy black reinforced stuff is still available at Auto parts stores.
I'm in NY and i cannot buy small engine/clear (yellow) fuel line by the foot anywhere. I can only buy these stupid little bubble packages that have 3 different sized hoses in them OR bubble packages that are engine specific. B&S weedwacker KIT.
Are you 'out of Staters' having the same issue or is it some NY craziness?
Thanks

a couple years ago, here in NE Kansas, i needed a (really short) piece of fuel line for my Stihl string trimmer.
i recall that both by-the-foot “bulk stock” and a variety of iD/OD were not as readily available as my memory suggested they would be.
hardware stores today seem nowhere near as comprehensive as God surely intended them to be!
