I've had several requests for the text file of car wheels that fit cubs. It's not very big so here it is. Add more in this thread if you know them because this list is old.

Here is a Pontiac grand prix 15" mini spare rims with 7.60-15 ags

Heres what they look like on a 102, you need to shorten the foot rest and re-work the fenders as they will need to be raised.

i was able to put trailer tires on my 100
dont remember wut size

I knew I'd seen this, someplace. After looking for it for over 1/2 hour, thought I'd bump it up.

I used 13" white spoke trailer wheels. Mounted auto snow tires with chains for snowplowing duty. Works well.

These 7.60-15's make good snowplowing tires with chains and 50lbs weight per tire and 80lbs hanging off the rear.

I think that looks so cool.

What comes to mind though wouldn't the added torque to the gears and drive line be somewhat of a problem if using a moldboard plow ?

Ground speed is changed by how much?

First gear now feels like second?

And thirdly What size are the front tires to make it level ?

I have thought about using some 14" Crager SS rims with some snow tires. I think with the right selection of tire I can keep the diameter to 24 or 25". The rims are 10" wide I think, need to dig them out. I still have all the lug nuts and washers for them. Would need to change over to studs which I was going to do anyhow. Thought that would look pretty good on FrankenCub. Need to figure something to do with the fronts.

Brendan - Might be tough to find a 14" dia. tire to fit a 10" wide rim that's only 24-25" over all dia. Especially in a mud/snow tire. But a Crager SS has always been My favorite wheel of all time. There's some front wheels for pullers on MWSC's site, some of the taller narrow wheels would help level the tractor.

Good point Dennis, I could probably find some narrower ones around here. At one time I had 10 or 11 SS rims from different projects. Part of what I'm trying to do is get the rear up higher to catch up to the front, my Original "FrankenCub" has an axle from my 129 so it sits higher than it should.

I had some time to snoop at Tire Rack yesterday. Your chances of getting a tire that would be more agressive would be better with a 15" dia rim. But I wouldn't go over 6-7" wide. I couldn't find ANYTHING wider than a 245-70R14 yesterday, and for a 10" wide rim You need a 255 or 265.

That's the one thing about CC rearends, gear drive or Hydro, they don't have much ground clearance, especially for plowing, where You drop the left wheel in a 6"-8" deep furrow.

JIM H. - My Tire Book shows Lonnie's 7.60 X 15's should be 29.6" tall compared to a nominal 23" tall 23-8.50X12 so speed would be a bit over 28% faster in every gear; 1st = 2.95 mph; 2nd = 4.1 to 5 mph depending on ratio in the model tractor; 3rd = 8.7 mph. Depending on how You weight the tractor I wouldn't expect there would be much harm done to the transmission/rearend. If You added LOTS of weight and plowed in really hard conditions, then Maybe. Looks like Lonnie's frt tires are 4.00 X 12's off a Cub 154, 185,184.

I guess I'm gonna have to take more time with a tape measure. I would like to stay around 25-26" tall. I really wanted to get a pair of the Swamp Witch ATV tires but the rime department is kinda lame unless I spend some big bucks on nice ATV wheels, that's just not an option right now. I could run regular snow tires on car rims and keep with runnin chains which isn't a big deal. I have chains on all year as it is. I'll start with finding out exactly what I have left in nice car rims.

I've heard that rims from a Chevy S10 will fit on most of the older cubs.
