Did I read some where that you can put ATV tires on Cub Cadet Wheels? If so what is the best tire for farming? Where is the best place to buy?

Scott,
Heres what I have been useing on a couple of my cubs.

Hi all, I have a few more questions about cub cadets. First will an old wheel from an IH Cub cadet fit on a CCC made 782? Does any other lawn/Garden Tractor wheel fit a 782? And also which is better a lug tire or an ATV tire (Swamp Fox) for farm work? Where is the best place to buy a tire? What size should I get? Right now I have 23x10.5-12 turf tires on it.

Scott, yes the IH Cub Cadet rim will fit on the CC 782. Some JD rims might also fit, not sure about any others.

ferd and craspman too ... I've got ferds on my 127 ... even dodge and ferd automotive but the lug holes are to big ...

It seems to me that ATV tires would be too "squishy" (is that a word?) for CC's. I have a Polaris 500 and those tires are not nearly as firm as the tires on my Cubs.

Jim - There's a big diff between 2-ply and 6-ply ... Cubs would need the 4 or 6-ply. Also air pressure ;)

Do you need a special Valve stem to put water in the tires? And would that help with the squishiness?
