Well then I would have to admit to being an amateur.

I have float on my loader and depending on how much material I want to level I use the bucket edge down for a light drag. I found the bucket back edge will remove more material if allowed to float.It works great for a small tractor. The 129 will do more than I thought it would and was going to put the loader on my 149 or my 1512 Diesel, but the 129 should have power steering to be Cat a$$ .

If your jerky hydro problem is solved then PLEASE inform ALL OF US as to what it took to fix the problem. If I missed your post where you stated what it took to resolve your jerky hydro then I apologize for writing this. If you haven't posted and the jerky hydro problem is solved then please step up to the plate and inform ALL those that tried or did to help you. It makes it more and more difficult for me to want to try and help someone in the future if they have the problem fixed and then don't reply how the broken item was repaired.

Can't believe no one has fabricated a lift arm to replace the cast iron original. As I see it all that will be involved is some sch.80 pipe & a few shaft collars, oh & some 1 1/2" x 1/4" flat stock.

No. 1, I don't have a 1k pressure gauge or a "snubber", and I throughly cleaned & lubricated the check valves when I installed the hydro.

I haven't done anything. But I'm not sure it's a "jerky" problem. It's more abrupt. When I engage either forward or reverse, it sets you back in the seat (opp. for reverse). If I ease into it, it's okay. Maybe it's just me.

DAVE R. - re Your comment about ag lugs on ice made me LOL. Even with 2-link chains on turf's ICE is miseable to get footing with on concrete or blacktop. About 2 yrs ago SON & I had both the Super H & M out to play with the snow on Christmas Day morning. SH had chains, the M didn't. If we could keep the M on the frozen ground it would push some snow with the 80 inch wide snow bucket, but once it spun a tire on snow covered concrete it was impossible to get moving again. The M was on the back end of a log chain a couple times to get it moving again.

PAUL D. - re home-made lift link for an IH 3-point, I've seen a couple here made like you say with pipe couplings & nipples. There's a LOT of stress on those when lifting heavy rear implements, I'd trust the IH iron casting or maybe a billet steel home made version, but every cut thread on a pipe fitting is just a crack and failure waiting to happen.

WAYNE - Yep, I replaced the throw-out bearing in my 72 about two months ago. NF GD's are not the easiest to do clutch work on. I saved the old t/o bearing, it had about 150 hours on it.... I should post a pic, it was pretty messed up! I went back to the stock clutch spring from a RED die spring, same MWSC 4140 alloy drive shaft & billet clutch plates & stock clutch disc but used my shorter OEM 40+ yr old clutch lever.The red spring was a bit too much spring for a working tractor, even with a really hot K321 in it.

The "jerky" problem sounds like the springs are not working correctly on the speed control plate. The springs are supposed to absorb abd smoothly let the hysraulics to engage.
