Eddie-

Yep...I was talking about the front. You could put five of those logs on the rear I would imagine. You must have a bunch of weight on the rear now to balance a load that big.

My yard hasn't been dry but once this year with all the water we've had, seems almost every low spot in the lawn has algae or moss growing in it even in full sunlight (good ol' Maryland clay for ya) and yeah, I still have some depressions from back when I first put AG's on my 149. I run them full pressure until lately and softening them up seems to help some. If the yard is dry, we have good sandy soil ontop of the clay so there are noticeable marks left in the hill after I go up it. Too steep to go longways and I honestly should use the push mower for the hills, theyre a little precarious sometimes. (Suitcase weights/bracket to come as well)

I notice that they no longer make the 26x12 flotation tire, I like the looks of them but they also had quite a price tag, anyone notice a difference in traction between the tru power and the firestone in the 26x12 size? Im partial to the tru powers simply because theyre really all Ive had experience with other than the R type industrial AG's on skidloaders and compacts

Posted wrong photo of counter weight.

Eddie, ALL, for posting links you do not need the tags, and for a neater appearance in your post, give the link a name other than the link itself. Here's an example of what it should look like, (minus the space between the \ and newurl):

\ newurl{http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd509/cceddie/1317322261323.jpg,PHOTO}

Minus the space, once posted, it would look like this:

I found a wide frame link lift for my tractor, but it says I need a spacer slug on the frame rail to mount it. What is a spacer slug and is it something that could be homemade?

Kraig,
l guess I should have asked first before posting that way but I'm using an Android phone and it won't let me browse pics. I just kept trying alternatives and Photobucket worked. Should have kept the Blackberry. Should have posted this in a different area also. Will your suggestion work with this Droid?

Eddie, I have no idea, I only have an older cell phone without web access.

Andrew Strawderman

You should be able to make that spacer from a piece of round stock , and then drill it for the pin . my 149 has the spacers I think . CRS is my big issue.

Andrew, old farts disiese happens when you get old enough. It's Can't Remember Sh$t

Quick question guys. Will a Kohler magnum 20 hp fit in a 782? If so, what all is involved?
thanks
Mike

Mike,

Yes, externally same engine as the KT17 or M18. You just have to be sure the crankshaft is of the correct dimensions and you install a relay.

Andrew S,

On your 128, the frame rails already have spacers attached where the upper lift hitch arm is installed unless the frame has been damaged at some point and they have come out. The only other spacer required is where the lift arm and lift link are connected with a 1/2" Diameter Bolt. Charlie has installation instructions for the Wide Frame 3 Pt Hitch Assembly posted that you can get to from the forum main page by clicking the "Manuals" link and then select "Options. Hope this helps.

Well, I just became the proud (I think) owner of a 1450. Included a tiller, back blade, and mower deck (too rusted, probably scrap). It hasn't been run in about three years so don't know about the engine. He did say that it vibrated terribly, even after he installed CC rubber engine mounts. Includes new tail lights and all manuals for $250.
What do you think?

Norm B-

Jump on it! That's a fantastic deal. Why did you think you even had to ask? The 1450 in ruff shape is worth the asking price in my opinion. This is one of those deals where you can sell one or two items from the lot and get more than you pay for the whole thing. In other words, a free tractor.

And such a classy seat for a cub.

I had my first real experience with a narrow frame clutch today. The 124#3 was jerky and I could see the broken teaser in there but do you think that's all there was? I ended up making a new driveshaft, clutch yoke hanger bracket, changing out the clutch lever and adjustment rod, a new clutch disc, replacement clutch driver, and a new throwout bearing. And that was just the clutch repair. The flywheel screen is loose so that will be addressed tomorrow. The engine seals are leaking a tad but I think I will let that go for another day. The engine is very tight and runs smooth so I'm going back with it as is for now.

All of this so far for a broken teaser. I do love the 124 cub though. All three run good and have been very dependable so far. This repair is just the standard crap we all go through to get what we have back up and running good.

Troy,
We want pictures.
