Wayne - that brake return spring is an issue on later Quiet Lines and the 82 series. It's No. 30 in Charlie's FAQ's. http://cubfaq.com/qlbrakesprings.html
I really don't understand why IH changed it. Earlier models worked good.

So I cut grass back yard, turn off the 149. Tie up dog, open gate to go cut front yard, hop back on the 149, Turn Key, whir whir whir whir,,,,,, starter seems to be spinning but Pully and belts are not moving,,,

So after a Closser Look,,,,

I wonder if those CCSpecialties guys have anything like that I could order,

It would be a lot faster to head for the Auto parts store and pick up a stick of 1/8" key stock.
