Kraig- What Carl said. I think I'd be more confortable with the glass cleaner.

Kraig

I was having some voltage regulator problem a couple week back and this is the info I recived.

"Lonny
You should be able to use it. Just make sure you connect the correct wire to the correct terminal, and don't connect them by position like top, middle, bottom, unless of course that is the way it works out. In other words the wire connected to the FLD or F terninal on the bad one goes on the FLD or F terminal on the new one, and the wire on the BAT terminal on the bad one goes on the BAT terminal of the new one etc. The light green wire connected to the L on the bad one can be connected to the BAT on the new one along with the gray wire."
Paul Bell gave me this info when I asked if I could use a 3 post V/R inplace of a 4 post V/R

What is a guy to do when restoring his original and his clutch disks are broken. I've seen the front half for sale (from the above sponsors and elsewhere) but not the back half. And am I seeing that right? Are they glued on from factory? Can you get just the disks or do they come glued to the pressure plates? Thanks, Nick

hey guys, I GOT BAR TIRES!!! they will work SO much better than the cracked turf tires i have now. the ironic thing is, the turf tires would be ok if they hadnt sat in a lean-to. the bar tires are gonna be better for the snowplow i bought for it. come to think of it, i've been busy!!! ive put tailights on it, a radio, they are wired through a switch i put on the dash. (the lights and radio aren't OEM, the switch isnt either.)

Art...I dug out the lower end gear oil tonight to check it out, sure enough it "says" 80w90. Has to be synthetic as it is nothing like the 80w90 I ran in my trucks. This stuff seems a lot thinner. Doesn't smell as bad either.

Lonny, Thanks for confirming Keith's diagram.

Curtis, I like the window cleaner idea too.

David, Thanks.

I need to get K4K done soon so I can move onto getting Killer installed and running!

I had a little time this evening to move K4K a little farther along. The grill shell had headlights installed at one time but they were mounted way too low. The top hole was actually 1/2" lower then where the bottom hole should be. I filled the old bottom hole with JB Weld and will be using the old top hole as the new bottom hole. I had previously filled the holes with JB Weld but they needed a second coat. I decided the fenders needed to be installed. I did discover that the fenders need to be drilled to mount the Grote tail lamp.

I just know I'm gonna slip and mess up that nice paint on the fenders when I go to drill them.

I couldn't stand not knowing if the dash decal would fit around the grommet so I had to dig out my dash decal. I was certain that I had bought the proper textured decal but at first all I could find was the straight lined version. I eventually found it a few layers down in my file cabinet with the rest of my Cub Cadet documents and decals. Looks like it'll fit with no problems.

Another decal tip. I have some spray called Sticker On that I bought at a boat store. It is made just for that purpose. Works great.

SUPER STEER QUESTION?

From reading some posts, I see that super-steer axle modification might cause interference with mowing deck? Am planning on super-steer upgrade to 169 with 44 inch deck. Will this cause problems, and if so, what do I need to do so that tires will not rub on deck? I plan to use stock spindles and wheels with 1" bore.

Thanks,

John-David Reaves
