I'm feelin ya on the cool LooKin "offset" front wheels, does have kind of wide LoOkIng Stance! Welding valve stem hole and drilling other side would be No Problem at all,,,,
I'll have to study up on that a bit before deciding on that route or Not!!!!

Hey since you mentioned offset I was going back through earlier post, I Found Earl's #1-1450 along w/ Charlie and Jason H's Rear Ends!!!

And then I was looking at pics I took over weekend of 149 and seems like the Original 7" rims that have 2" added have a big offset difference also,,,,, My 149 brake rotors are almost flush w/ inside of rim, looks like the 8.5" rims have brake rotors more inside the wheel,,,,,,

With Charlie's Firestone tri ribs and hydro's mention of possible flipped front rims, the already modified rear rims, and a 16hp kohler in 149 I'll be headed into Wheatland Territory!!!

Those wider wheels look like Super rims (i.e. 982-2284)

The Wheatland currently is sporting rims meant for an "All Wheel Steer" GT of another color meant to be used with 26x12-12 rims (may have a model number that starts with an x7... if you're real handy with the online parts catalog

) The only difference is that I'm using them with the disc to the inside. Results may vary with external brakes since the valve stem is on the inside then.

I've since gone to just building my own rims from Miller tire, a much more economical venture IMHO. I've always hated that SGT rims were too narrow for the 12" wide tires, so on my off-topic 2072 I made proper width rims. With the new Titan Tru-Power II tires, they're a great setup.

NOW... you want the trick setup up front, make yourself up some spindles and use some Gravely rims. You can use wide and narrow tires AND adjust the offset.

Here's the prints to make your own spindles to use the factory 1" bearings and some "aftermarket" rims that are adjustable. Setup shown for a SuperSteer setup.

That'll get you a rim that works for narrow and wide wheels that you can change your offset based on the season of choice. I've ended up leaving mine in the narrow position.

I acquired a 782 with a tiller 2b tiller attachment. Tractor and tiller run great, I also bought a BB36 snowthrower in anticipation of acquiring this tractor. Can this snow thrower be attached to this tractor? Thanks in advance, any info helps.

It will not. You need a QA-36A/B or QA-42A/B (or 364 or 450 two-stage snowblower).

The little guy looks a lot better after a quick bath.
At least I got all the grungy tree crap off it.
Next up is to tackle the steering issue.
Got it up, running and moving yesterday after a different fuel tank and some fresh gas.
Then the electric lift issue. What is usually wrong with these units if they don't work?
I have juice from the switch to the wiring in both positions, so the switch must be ok?

So getting my 12 horse power engine out of the tractor. Do have one question, How can I lift the engine out the tractor without lifting it by hand? Got all the wires un hooked, unbolted it. Looked at the valves, they dont sit right. SO I'm going to cut the seat and the value. See if that works. Then I will have to see if fits. If it doesnt I will just put it back on the frame of the 149 and put it somewhere to work on it a later day while I will mess around with the v twin.
