Having a problem starting my 149. I washed it a couple weeks ago and shined it up. Ive been searching related problems on here but haven't had much luck yet. Replaced coil, points(020), plug (autolite 216 @ 035, and condensor. I'm not getting spark. Tested the coil wire and it's fine. Put jumper cable from starter to battery +. It cranks over fine but no spark. I think the two safety switches on the pedal and the PTO stop it from turning over but since it does I'm removing them from the area to look. I'm going back out to check for loose wires but all connections should be clean because I just painted and cleaned it up. I used it 4 or 5 times since so they I know they worked. So much for preventitive maintenance. Anyone get an idea where to look next?

Steve, not sure you have this so I'll post it. Might be best to disconnect the battery and get out your ohmmeter and start checking wires and connections for continuity.

1200 3 pin clutch driver: I've come to the conclusion (thru Parts Lookup) that the only models that used this particular part # (IH 117591-C1) were the 1200 and 1000. Am I close to being right?

Kraig-
So if you're going to ship a cat, do you box it up, or just slap a label on it's back and toss it in a mailbox?

Art, definitely in a box, a cat with a label wouldn't be fair to the mail carrier.

Not to mention that if it's not in a box it might find it's way home!

Oh sure, now PETA is gonna be knocking on my door.

Can I bypass the switch to see it that's it? From the diagram which two wires do I try to connect? Thanks for the help.

Charlie..
Looks like your cab came with a pair of 'bucket' seats!! (sorry)

When I worked in a sheet metal shop with a laser cutter, I had a bunch of rear weights cut up that slid all the way inside the rear wheels. I have 90# in each rear wheel of my 129. The weights go right out to the valve stem on 8.50 tires. I have about the same amount of weight on my 149 with 10.50 tires. It works good because I can leave them on for mowing since even the nuts holding them on does not come close to sticking out past the tire. It lets me mow the side hills with less fear of tipping. Of course the weight also works good for plowing at plow days.
