MARLIN - I at least hope it's a 140. If I ever, EVER had a weak moment and bought a deare it would only be a 140.

But then, I'm still trying to wear out 45,42, & 30 yr old Cub Cadets, so why would I want to get another tractor.

Saturday, I picked up a Simplicity 8" plow that looks like this one:

The one I have is missing the Z-rod that goes from the frame to the coulter. I want to beef up the hitch and make it wider so it will not be free to pivot around the hitch.

I would also like to find a manual on this someplace. Unfortunately the Simplicity site, even though they do have some down loadable manuals, does not have the manual for this. Neither does the Simple tractors web site. I see one on ebay, but it looks to be a scanned job, plus the picture on the front does not look entirely like this one. Any one have one?

Dug out the S/G to the 149 last night, It had been hibernating in a cabinet since gravity attacked it last year (see pulley at left)... The pulley would NOT come off, so it got PB Blasted... A Spud wrench (who would have thought a plumbing tool should have an IH P/N) and a BFH (aka Ford tool) got it off this time nice and easy. Gotta get some black paint

Paul B., good catch, I missed where Brad asked about the "front screen".

Brad, here's what the grill screen should look like on the 73.

Lewis P., any chance I could get you to take a detail photo of the grill screen on one of your restored 1x6/7 series Cubs for my archives? How about if I say: PLEASE? TIA

Kraig,
I'm Not Lewis P, and this 107 is not restored, but here are some pictures of an original, unrestored grill on a 107

Yep some is up side backwards lol. But when finished you won`t see that.I will have to find a home on the back of the door,That will save it from the weather.

Thanks, Lewis. I probably going to have to make item 2. I also would like to find the owner's manual on this thing.

VINCE - While I can agree with the idea of adding more HP to a CCO, I can't really see why anyone would chose to do it THAT way. The timed deck on that tractor actually looks in real good shape.... especially for being 47+ yrs old. Of course, the "hoop" over the discharge chute always is missing.

But the red/white color scheme does look nice on them. The '63 CCO Dad traded on the CC #70 in '65 was repainted red/white by the dealer. Dad talked to the guy that bought that tractor back in '65 several years ago. He was still mowing with it every week at the time.

Vince-
Ask your Dad if he replaced the water-pump on that Original. They have a tendency to go bad when plowing.

Hi everyone,

I don't know if it is appropriate for this section of the forum, but I was wondering if I could get a hand identifying a cart I bought for $20. I am not sure if this is actually an IH cart or something someone painted up. I have done some digging, but have come up dry. Anyone out there have a guide to carts or is familiar with IH carts?

thanks
