It started with wanting a land plow. I got it. The 102 has weights, creeper, sleeve and Brinly hitch, spring assist, frozen steering, old gas, dead battery, a 4 tooth harrow . . . Now I go to see if I can get it started.

Angel and I went to visit a good friend in Marshalltown this morning. Since he lives on a street that has traffic headed to a local salvage yard he decided to create a unique sign advertising that he wants Cub Cadets and accessories.

The Original does runs and he has found some neat tractors that otherwise would hae been recycled (cut up for scrap).

The 70 and 100 he is going to part with and devote his time to Originals. The Original is his favorite model of Cub Cadet and he has around six of them. The 1100 in the background will sadly be parted since the rearend needs rebuilding. And the 71 is a keeper.

A good find: You got the yeller Bug , but your not alone ! I have a 102 and a disassembled 102 with creeper.I would love to put a good 14 in it. I was cleaning up some leaves today. I need a Lawn Vac lol. Your 102 has a car tire on the left rear . I bet fresh rubber would make a big difference in traction. Dual breaks would help.I`am coming along after my first cold or flue (sick day) in 7 years. Felt real good to get my 149 out and run that Cub around. That was quality seat time.Soon I will have shop time . There might be a few pictures . Oh and I think your Cab (Simms) will fit my 1512 .

Thanks for the spline (19 tooth ) for my 450 snow blower. I will have a Cab Soon .

I have a narrow front hydraulic lift that is not returning to center and is a little leaky at the piston.

Does anyone have a link to the manual?
Does anyone have an exploded view or the lift to see if it has all its parts?
Does anyone have a pictures of replacing the piston seals?

I quick search didn't bear much fruit.

A good find - not a great find. Makes me think of the song "too long in the wind, too long in the rain". Much in need of penetrating oil. Got the right side steering spindle freed up - left is still frozen. Attached the Brinly hitch and plow to JackieO. Wheel weights and different tires will get attached to J-O tomorrow. Couldn't resist trying to turn ground with the plow. New learning curve in the future!
Getting this thing running will make a big answer to what it's future may be around here. Tonight he's safe and sound in the CubHouse.

Marlin (ya ol' dog):
Your for sale ad just reminded me of the reason these things need a cover over the steering wheel center if they're going to be left out in the rain. It's a straight shot from the top of the tube to the steering box and water in the steering box ain't good - especially if it can freeze.

Spent some quality seat time on the 126. Could have had more, but need to get the head lights going...

It just feels right mowing around an old barn yard with an IH.
