Amy-Did the same yesterday. Removed and stored the deck, changed oil and installed the thrower on the 1250. Munched the last of the leaves in the dark with the push mower. 3" of wet snow in NE Ohio right now.

Ty for the links . Hopefully I will get this installed in the next few days if I have some free time to get this done.

The 147 job is complete and now the 149 will get some new parts . along with a new hood hinge ( I sure wish these hinges lasted longer ).

Hey Donnie T - if you can find a hood hinge from a Quiet Line (800, 1000, 1200, 1250, 1450, 1650) it will fit your 149 and last forever, or nearly.

Charlie - nice photoshop job.

All - I haven't been able to check in for awhile and am trying to catch up. All you guys using Snow Throwers make sure you follow the Operators Instructions and grease up the small chain sprocket and drive shaft every time you use it. It only needs a squirt or 2 in each zerk fitting. I know it's throws grease all over (except not as bad on the A suffix units). Also make sure you oil the chain which I don't think is mentioned in the Instructions.

I'm thinking they didn't have photo-shop in 1967 when they took the pic.
And I don't think the Wisconsin Historical Society is that good, LOL

Hello all i tried to look back at previous post but i could not find what the difference is between k321A and K321 are the carburetors the same?
thanks everyone

Ed C - the letter "A" suffix on the Kohler Model means "Special Oil Pan". I believe any Carb differences would be identified in the Spec No. of the engine. You might be better off getting pics to see if it looks the same. The most common differences are in the throttle linkage on the top of the carb (which can usually be changed if you have your old carb), and/or the choke connector lever on the side (which is a real pain to change with your old carb version - there is a little internal ball bearing that falls out if you take it apart).

Charlie - ok, I guess you got me. Is that when they came up with the slogan "One Tough Tractor"? Or was that later on by CCC.
