Had a very nice trip through Rockford for a 1200 trailer, then off to meet up with Paul Tombaugh, then Tom Hoffman at Bryan McMeen's place... then worked on #784 Cub Cadet Original. It was a good day!

John it sounds like it was a good cub day, we got to meet up again.

Steve-
Neat pics!

John B-
Post up some pictures of that 1200 trailer in the "sandbox". (I'd love to find one of those someday.)

Does anyone know the working dimensions of a "Spindle Drive Belt" #59-702 C1??

Tom,
It helps when you type the numbers right, LOL
IH-59702-C1 954-3005 BELT-V 1/2 X 85 or 85 1/2, depending on who made the belt.

I have tried to do a search with no luck so far. What am I doing wrong when installing the 450 blower on my 782? I purchased the (pin extension) lift bracket from Xtrememotorworks to allow me to install the lift arm correctly. I can't get the blower to lift? Am I supposed to be installing a pin in the rock shaft. Is this the part they call the "float" position?

The blue pin is temporary until I get the right size bolt, needed to make sure it would LIFT first!

I'll also ask, what is the 2nd hole in the top of the "lift bracket" that I bought from Xtreme? Another application like a blade or something?

Also did a mock set up of the cab last week. Doesn't look too bad I didn't think?

Still have to attach it and figure out the floor boards. Art, did you have to drill new holes for your floor boards to fit when you installed your cab? I have to make some fenders flares for it too thanks to Art sending me the measurements many, many months ago! I didn't get any with my cab when I bought it. Will have to do some wiring on it too, they had a rotating blue beacon on it, but the magnets were pretty much screwed due to rust and I actually don't think I could get it through my garage door with the beacon on anyway. Don't think I really need it on for where I live. Regular head & tail lights are sufficient I am sure.

Mike, in your first two pics, the part the extends upward from the rock shaft is supposed to be clocked forward into the bracket attached to the lift cylinder. Currently, your rock shaft is already in the "lifted" position.

Undo any lift rods use a pry bar to on any of the rockshaft tabs to get it to rotate forward.

If you start the tractor and operate the lift cylinder, you see that it pushes out and pushes that rock shaft tab with it. The "float part" is that it's not actually attached to the cylinder so that if the deck, blade, or blower get pushed higher it won't pull on the cylinder. Of course if you have it all the way out the is not much "float" left.

If you had the lift rod installed sitting in this position you may need a longer lift rod once you get back where it's supposed to be.

Edit: upon further inspection. It looks like you have your deck high adjustment cam still in place. That's not letting the rock shaft return to the cylinder. Loosen the black knob and rotate the cam so it's entirely out of the way or remove it.

Your rockshaft stop (black knob and cam on side of frame) isn't allowing the rock shaft to lower all of the way. Loosen, adjust the cam, then readjust lift rod link to blower (make longer)

Thank you all for the input, I got it to line up finally. Don T. called me and set me straight, thanks Don!

Had to clean the threads out of the hole too. Caked up with crud. I just have to go buy the correct length bolt for it and replace the blue pin with the proper bolt and washers. Will be away to the races soon!

I have to drill holes in frame of tractor to install bolts (2-11) with bell washers (2-12) & hex nuts (2-13) in order to keep the undercarriage bracket secured to the frame to prevent twisting. My frame doesn't have the holes drilled in it yet, any suggestions on what to avoid? Other than drilling them in the wrong spot!?

You can actually get a wrench up under the frame to tighten the nut on these bolts? Looks like I will need to shrink my hand to less than half its size? Good Grief!

Hey Don T. forgot to ask you when you were on the phone, how did your Brinly planter work out this year that you found? Did you get to use it or did you sell it?

Mike P

Well I never got a chance to try the planter out to see how it works ; but I do hope to get it going this spring.

I got some parts from Charlie and will be starting in the shop in the am. two tractors have a no charge issue and the 1512 will get rear fenders painted and the cab installed. I bought some led lights (3) for more light forward and one for a reverse light . my 450 is getting the second stage drum spline replace ( thanks to Art A ) . I do also hope to mod it like Mat G has on his tractor. Much to do here and I see my shop is up to 54 deg so far and will be nice and warm by morning . later Don T

So I guess Indiana is finally catching up a lil on the snow. We have about 2" so far and they say up to 5" by 9 am tomorrow morning. I managed to dig out the snow thrower and mowed last night again for the last time I hope ! Gonna get the deck off in the am and get the thrower on and clean snow. Is spring here yet ?

I am extremely fortuante this year. I've finally found a young gentleman that lives just north of us to help with snow removal duties this year. Ian now has the 125 with the snowthrower on it at his place and next weekend we are installing a front blade onto his 127 so he has the best of both worlds for snow removal duties. I've been praying for someone that I could find and trust to help since I'm getting younger towards eternity and every year it gets just a little colder or so it seems. I'll put a blade on Fancy's 1650 and between us we'll keep the neighborhood area clear of any snow that accumulates.

Mike-
Yes, I believe I did have to drill holes through the floorboards of the 2072 to mount the cab floorboards to the tractor.

Good looking rig, that should move a lot of snow this winter.
