Here's everybody getting along

And here's Lynda in the winda

And ole Graygirl is still doing her thing...by herself.

Wayne, those were great pics of the kids. Of course, Graygirl will always be the matriarche and loner. I loved the pic of Barney sprawled across Millie, and sweet Lynda joining in the ranks of " togetherness".

Annie, Annie Annie. She is certainly one who hears the beat of a different drummer. She has discovered " shadows" in the house so everytime I am going to the bathroom, kitchen or going to do laundry, Annie is right there because she has it all figured out where the shadows will appear from, and she dances, leaps and tries, in quite a frensy to catch the shadows..or to dance with them, not sure which. lol.

Yesterday she fell off the long shelf on the 3 season porch. She didnt seem hurt at first, but as she came in the house and Marlin started giving her sympathy, she started to hurt terrible and seemd to be very injured..holding her right back leg up, then limping and in a constant roll of noise, either crying, hissing or growling. That went on for about an hour. She was limping around all day and she was noticable in pain. By last night she still had a little limp, but this morning she seems fine as she is back to dancing wiht the shadows. She is quite the drama queen when it comes to acting the part, so at times its hard to tell how badly she is hurt/or not hurt and just acting in a cameo role. hahaha. One thing is sure, she doesnt have a lot of tolerance for pain or discomfort, and I think that stems from when before we got her and I'm thinking she suffered somehow, which has left her kind of scar-ed.!!

Fancy has gotten huge. He must be around 18# now. When I was laid up with my eyes after surgery and not able to get outside, it didnt take a lot of time for the poundage to pile back on. We have been walking, but he needs to be on a serious diet, which I have him on. I heard from marlin that he had been leaving Tootsies food in the bathroom down and accessible to Fancy, so that is why he got so big. big sigh.

Heres a pic I took of Annie giving her dady some healing love the other day. her little paws so delicately placed on his hand..offering love and comfort.
(Marlin was off work for about 1 1/2 weeks due to a pulled muscle in his side, so the kitties were having to work overtime on doctoring and tending to nursing duties with him.

Found this on my "trail/garden" camera today. It doesn't have a big enough rack to shoot!

Not sure if it was eating my oats or not.

Fancy did something really cool last night. Tootsie was upstairs and from the living room Marlin called for her to come down. Well Fancy was laying in his favorite spot..daddys recliner all comfy and snuggled in and he got up..went to the landing of the stairs and called for Tootsie. It sounded like when a mother cat is calling her youngins..and within 30 seconds or so...here comes Tootsie happily coming down and jumped up on her spot..the lid of the clothes hamper...neat huh? Often Fancy will talk to Tootsie, but it was so clear and obvious he was saying " come here"...come here.

Hey Hey..what has happened to ya'll posting bout your furkitty kids?? .. I guess what little I have been sharing has been just downright boring as no one else is posting. What is UP with that? huh? I'm MISSING not hearing bout' your furkids..kitties/puppies..etc.. I'm not on the comp much so Marlin keeps me updated to new posts that pop up.

I ordered grain seeds on-line and that all came yesterday, so last night I planted up seeds of Oat, Rye, Wheat and Barley for the kids. I then used cling wrap to create dome type covering for the pots so the plantings stay moist and that will offer humidity once they are growing. with cling wrap I made dome/hoods for the pots, so they seedling material would stay moist and the humidity would be helpful once the grains emerge.

Speaking of natural greens for the kitties, Marlin came into the living room a few days ago with a handful of lettuce. I didnt think much of it or watch him, but then when I did glance over at him, there was miss HANNAH eating on a leaf. Wow was I ever surprised. lol.

Annie continues to hunt down and attack the shadows. She has it all figured out where the shadows appear, so she is always on high alert and she gets really crazy at times leaping and jumping HIGh to catch the shadows. lol..This morning I took Tootsie upstairs as Marlin was dizzy and sick, and all the way up the stairs Annie was chasing my shadow..She knows where the shadows will appear and runs ahead of me so she is prepared to attack at any opportunity.

We had a couple of encounters with mice. One morning we were in the dining room and from upstairs Tootsie starting meowing..and meowing. I thought maybe she had a claw caught on something, so I went to look and low and behold when I got up there, there sat Tootsie with a mouse in front of her. It was dead. I guess she then wanted me to do something with it. lol..which I did. Then a few days later, I am in the kitchen and I see Fanc, Hannah and Annie like in a little triangle in the dining room and I looked and then looked again, and low a behold, there was a mouse just ever so slowing was making its way across the floor in front of them. NO one tried to get it. I have great difficulties seeing anything on a dark surface, or if something is dark due to macular degeneration, so that's why it took me abit to see the mouse saundering along. I finially said to Fanc..get it bud, and he did, and quickly subdued it and I got a hold of it and took it outside. lol.

we haven't had anymore encounters since then..thank goodness. I put poison out in my closet as I hear them in there once in awhile. I cut a tiny whole in a shoe box and then put the poison in it. No way the kitties could get at the poison if they by chance got in my closet. Since I put that out, I havent' heard anymore mice.

Hi Cath.. and everyone! We just don't have much to report here. Meow Meow still has the cloudy eye and it doesn't get any better.. it doesn't slow him down as he and the sheltie still run around and wrestle daily!

Chris and I hope You and Marlin enjoy the holiday tomorrow, don't eat to much and share some with the kids! LOL....

May everyone here have a safe and bountiful holiday season!

Hey Mike, thanks for sharing. So sorry to hear that MM is still struggling with his eye, but guess that isn't going to go away? Fanc has watery eyes. I think that is due to when he was a wee one he had really bad eye infections. They seem really sensitive to the sunlight( like me..lol).

Everyone have a great holiday, however you spend it. We aren't doing a turkey. I couldnt get to the store ahead of time and now marlin and I are both under the weather and turkey just doesnt even sound that good. Well, it probably would if someone else did all the work. lol

Here, Kitty, Kitty, Kitty:

This flock of what I think is young American Goldfinches stopped in for Thanksgiving breakfast this morning.

We've had snow, rain, more snow, and now dropping temps which means a sheen of ice under new snow, which always sucks. I took a 149 with chains and a landscape rake and "roughened things up" before it freezes really solid. Kind of missing the rear mounted blade that I sent across the border. I didn't like how it handled dirt - never thought of using it on snow.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, Everyone!!

Me, I'll be spending the afternoon and evening in the shop as Carolyn has to go into work at 4.

Been trying to fab up the missing pieces for the IH Windbreaker install on the 1450/thrower combo.

I dont use the phone that much, but I thought I could use the video/camera aspect of it to shoot the kids doing their funny things and then uploading those? has anyone done that with their phone? On one phone I had awhile back it had video on it but I could never figure out how to upload the pics...duhhhh..color me not to smart at times.
