Has anyone on here ever used heim joints on the drag link and tie rod arms?
 
Yup!!
Only way to go if a sloppy front end bugs the heck outta you. Just be sure to do the front axle "squeeze" and go through the steering box and adjust it back to spec, add the nice bearing fix and make sure the toe in is adjusted to spec as well while you are at it. Makes a world of difference!

Frank-once again I don’t see the forest for the trees,lol I’ll look into it once Diggers back on line,I still have to grab my 1450 decals from him so I’ll bundle my order
 
Doug- I’m going to look into those I like greaseable “links”I just feel that’s a better maintance route,and one can’t deny the the benefits of when a joint gets “loose” to tighten it by lubeing the joint to retighten it
 
David S- David R is correct if the battery is good and charged it'll run fine but if the battery is marginal cranking will probably drop the voltage enough to give a weak spark making it hard to start. Then when running the battery ignition can drain a weak battery surprisingly fast causing a weak spark with sputtering and misfires. Had it happen on one of my 1450's when the regulator quit.
