Is there any word on the esteemed(?) Mr. Weaver's health? Last I heard, he was goin' fishing. Could we talk him into a production run of roll pin removal tools?

The replacement Grote lite will fit the original bracket but the wire is not in the same place as the original one original is offset the new one is on center.

There is a sponsor that has the bracket drilled differently for the replacement lights.

Hi all,

I am checking in for the first time from soon to be snowy Minnesota. I'm the proud owner of a 109 that I bought about 20 years ago and it's still doing fine. I've been doing some repairs and need a little clarification on reassembling the steering assembly. It looks like the metal retainer is on the outside with the gasket between it and the assembly. That's not real clear in the service manual or the FAQ. If so should grease be oozing out past the retainer? It would seem like it should be for lubrication but doesn't that just attract dirt and cause wear?

Thank's
John

Would someone please post a blow up of a QL driveshaft for John as well? Thanks a bunch,he will need it....

Thank's Digger for the pics. What I was refering to on the steering was what is just listed as #6. It doesn't show which is the gasket and which is the retainer. It only makes sense I guess that the gasket is between the pieces but then theres nothing to seal between the moving parts but steel on steel.
John

Thanks also for the QL pic's. That gives me a good idea of what I'm getting into.
John

John, that part is steel on steel. The gasket goes toward the gearbox.
