Earl put a longet pin in the 3 point the farther out the more lift.

Charlie,
Without question the efforts you put into this site requires a love and dedication most of us do not have.
I must state you cannot address yourself as an “A$$hole” simply because we all have one of those which makes you ordinary like the rest of us. Unless you want to be ordinary can we call it a “Tidy Professional” that puts everything in its place? I visit this site almost daily, sorry I don't post often maybe when I retire.
Thank You!
Al Lies

Hope everyone has a good weekend.
Take a moment to stop and remember those who have given all so that we can enjoy our lives..

Early Friday morning, I finally got the 1250 home. It ran fine at the PO's place; smooth, fairly vibration free and nothing major seemed to be wrong. When I unloaded it from the trailer, I couldn't resist taking a spin around the yard, as there was some mowing to be done anyway. It slowed and began throwing the coil wire. Finally, I took electrical tape and re-attached the coil wire to the tower. Now, the thing barely has any power, and seems like the throttle only opens part way. I'll be making a new coil wire today, when the parts store gets the ends that I need. Any other thoughts?

It looks a little rougher than I had hoped, but nothing a little primer and paint won't fix. the hydro seems good and I thought it ran pretty good. It needs lights, a seat and a center cap for the steering wheel. For what I paid, I am still pretty happy with it, although I am really not sure what I have done.

Of all the things I have lost, I think I miss my mind the most.

Good morning, All.

Yesterday's trip to the bone specialist confirmed a very bad (worn out) couple of bones behind the left knee cap. He said that if he went by x-rays alone then he'd be cutting me up and installing the latest replacement updates. I opted for a shot of cortizone (again). Angel has been telling me to thin the Cub Cadet collection and to stop getting on my knees when I work on them. Heaven forbid... that will not happen. (At least in the near future.) As soon as it dries a little bit outside from yesterday's rain then I need to get some Cub stuff done.

Frank C. Thank you for the cool picture. Angel says that is one very happy little kitty and I agree. So does Fancy.

MARLIN - My Dad had really bad hip joints, I forget the medical term for it, but the ball/socket joints are shallower than normal. It's hereditary too and I know SON has them so I do too. When I stand a lot, or walk very much I really feel the pain in my hips. It's common for great running backs in football to have this condition, makes them more flexible to the beatings they take every Sunday in the fall.

Anyhow, Dad's orthopedic surgeon kept putting off Dad's first surgery because he was too young. His OEM joints lasted 68 or 69 years and his replacement joints only lasted about ten.

I'd keep taking the shots as long as you can.

Anyhow, did a little yard work yesterday... Wife needed a load of mulch from the neighbor's. I was more than happy to go down and get a cubic yard with my Farmall & big dump cart.

Earl,

+1 on what Mike said. Take your 3 pt ift pin d drill another cross hole 1-1/2" or so from the original. It'll increase the ratio, works good..

Not only that, it will put the threaded adjusting knob further away from the rear tractor skirt/fender. I could just see someone loosing a finger in there. Many of the cubs I have seen with a tiller setup have the rear of the skirt all bent up from lack of clearance in that area.

By the way, we got about 1.25" of rain here (eastern IA) last nite. 1st we've seen in mearly 3 weeks now. I guess all the dancing I did the last few days did the trick!! Insert smiley face (here).

Frank C.,

I know where you are coming from. I am supposed to be working on my cub cadet building

, but instead i'm having to build a house for my daughter's cats. They need somewhere to live because not everyone likes cats, and if I let them run loose they might not make it back home (if you know what I mean). I guess my cub cadet building will be on hold for another week....again.

THANK YOU VETS for your service!!!
