Gary S:
Sorry about the misinformation on removing the driveshaft.... I'm just finishing up putting the 129 back together after splitting it and forgot you had a Quietline....

Allen Nixon:
Note that you don't have to out your Email address on your posts - anyone needing it only has to look at your profile... and...there is nothing special about the 106's starter solonoid, just replace it with one that has the same configuration (battery in and out, solenoid coil positive and negative)...

Jeff-

The marks are covered with dirt or rust...you'll have to do a little cleaning to see them, most likely.

Hey all I have a question, I have a friend that has a cub 149, and he is telling me that it has an electric pto. I didn't think those came with an electric pto. From my knowledge it was supposed to have been a manual pto. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Got a new throtel cabel on my 122 and adjusted the carb it runs good I just now figured out it had a throtel stop

duh.I got voluntered to pull some kids round at my church
vbs what is my maximum load campacity on my 122
I will find out the length of the trailer tomorrow I know it is under 16 foot but it is kinda wide?

Eric-

The 149s came with the mechanical pto. This "friend" isn't by chance trying to sell this 149 on the Charlotte area craigslist is he? If the engine has the teardrop breather cover along with the electric pto and is black it's highly likely to have been changed out. I've seen a couple of 1x9s with quietline engines. It's a little involved but they bolt right in. The wiring has to be altered a bit as well and I don't know what else; I've never done it myself.

Others may chime in to help.

No he isn't trying to sell this one on the charlotte craigslist, although I have been in talks with the guy that does have one listed in the charlotte area for sale. So far he and I are working out a deal (hopefully). The guy I know that has one that said it had electric pto lives right down the road from me so I may go see how it is he has an electric pto on his 149.

Does anyone have a truevalue hardware store near them that carries the washer that everyone is using for the throttle shaft repair? The one's near me no longer carry that part or either don't use the company that made them.

Lucas... how good are the brakes on it? Folks here always say cubs can pull a lot more than they can stop... My 6x10 trailer weighs about 1500# and I probably had it loaded up to about 2250-2500# and both my 10 horse 1000 and 12 horse 129 pulled it ok but you got to be really carefull with even the slightest decline.

Don`t haul more than the weight of your tractor. You just might get sued if something goes wrong and someone gets hurt. A small trailer and a few at a time. Safety First . my .02

A main needle can be bought for $12.00
Welcome to CC Specialties and I think we should buy form them and at least look at there site and see what they have. Just makes sense to me to support them and this site. I order parts for him and shipping is $$$ but that is what makes this site run $$.

I have a 1650 that I have recently rescued from neglect and abuse and have restored to running condition. It came with a 50A deck and my dad was running the tractor for the first time this week when the deck belt tension spring broke. He was concerned that the belt that came with the deck might be the wrong one because he thought it has a lot of play and was wondering if it might have led to the spring failure. Can someone tell me the exact belt length for this deck so he can try measuring it and see if it is the correct one.

-Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I thought I would use my loader this am. dam flat tire again, same one I had fixed the week. I ask if the stem looked odd to me and the young pup said (no thats the way they are) I should hit him with the tire when I take off the wheels weights and drive 10 miles for another new tube
