FrankSnerd: Park that sucker for now, then take it to Colchester July 17-18. Find Zagray Farms and I'll guarantee you'll be welcomed with open arms and leave with your problem solved.

Hey - how'd that feel gettin' my "sig" thrown at ya????

Dennis F.,
Ok, you succeeded. Now my interest has piqued.
What did you do to your 38" deck to 'improve' it over the years?

-- Did ya change the center pulley to make it spin faster?

-- Maybe add a deeper shroud assembly around the blades?

I'm all ears......please do tell!

Going through some stuff at the house today (after using the Cub Cadet and loader to move the new water heater around the back of the house to the basement door) and found an old picture i hadn't seen in a long time.

Big Steve entered a tractor pull at the Roanoke Centennial celebration when I was very little....a 1468 with an M&W dual turbo kit.

I think he got beat, but it's still a cool old photo......

Not quite as good as the one of Bryan McMeen at Science and Industry in Chicago though....

Frank, I might be full of it, I've only seen it happen once before. I can't be sure from the cheap puter speakers I got but would you be willing to pull the head and with the exhaust valve open see it you can get the exhaust seat to come out. The next time it happens before you try to start it again would be best but if it's popping out you should be able to get it out with your fingers or a couple picks.

I looked at all Frank S videos and feel its a fuel issue. I see the petcock on the tank looks closed to me. When my valve is open the stem is longer.I would donate some cash to someone who lives close to Frank S to get his tractor running. My 129 needs the fuel shut off open all the way for it to work properly.I should post a youtube of it running. Its a sweet running 12K

Charlie

Who painted those tractor parts ? Not with those ground sheets.

I think I will have to thin the heard here,I found out I have another disk in my neck go south and the Dr. has me on new meds to try and control the pain.I had a terrible 6 days here.I will have to get Frank C involved to ship me some power steering parts for my 129 because just ten minutes steering it with a load in the bucket is murder on me.I need to find a roller that has ps and have Frank C junk it and send me what I need.

Charlie Thanks for the help. I am still new to this picture thing. It took me an hour to figure out how to resize them. I will also add that the 72 is actually my wifes tractor.

I would like to replace the Oil Seal (part# 721-3018A) on the Spindle Assembly of the mower deck of an LT 1045. I can see the seals, but do not want to come out. Is there a trick to extracting them? Thanks, BC

First time message. I have a 1650 Hydrostatic, serial # 586371. I throught I paid too much when I bought my tractor 2 years ago, after using it, I love it, and made out big time.
PROBLEM: Motor starts and runs fine, but no forward or reverse movement. I checked the linkage to the control cam, they are moving fine. I checked the hydro fluid, checked ok. I am going to replace the filter this week. QUESTION: If the filter does correct the problem what should I check next?

Thanks

Ernie

This section of the forum is for IH built Cub Cadets built before 1981. You should post your question in the CCC/MTD section to get an answer.

Ernest - I'd say you have a sheared pin in the drive shaft coupler. On one end or the other.

Greg L - Thanks for that , some people get pissed when I jump on people for posting in the wrong place or posting forbidden links.
Watch out before you get branded GRUMP!2nd

I still think my POSTING should be mandatory.

Kide - Yeah I seen enough of your sig. I'll send ya the posting I had typed up BUT since I can read the rules I know not to post a "feud" on the forum.

Digger - Dangit man take those knife edge tires off the front of that thing before it cuts the concrete !
You were talking before about the sandy soil up there, you'd better put on w-i-d-e turfs on the front with that loader weight.

Donald - I could help your steering problem if I wasn't so lazy. I'll wait and see how long it takes you to find what you need.

Frank - Are you going to Colchester ? If you are why don't you just bring me that yeller'n white loader you have ...

Then one of us would be happy !

Dave Ross (Dross)
