Posting this for an older friend. He knew I was into the older cubs so he came to me asking if I'd be interested in buying it. However right now I have way to many irons in the fire, so I told him I'd at least post it up on here to see if anyone else is interested.
cub cadet 127, starts and runs great.
sheet metal is fair with surface rust/deck is starting to rust out.
He is asking $450 (i'm not sure how that sits with the old narrow frame market )He'll probably consider a fair obo

SORRY ABOUT My 1st POST. FORGOT THE PRICE. ASKING $750

I am selling my dad's original, 1961 Cub Cadet,
Tractor serial number is 19031.
This tractor is a one owner unit.
It was restored approximately 15 years ago, used sporadically as a garden tractor for 3 years and then retired. It is in very good condition with some minor paint peeling and scratches. As seen in the pictures the tractor is very clean, always stored in a garage.
It has the original tires and has the optional rear fenders.
The engine was replaced when it was restored with a Kohler replacement engine from the dealer since a new K161 was no longer available.
The engine is now a Kohler K181 8HP engine with a paper style air filter.
The engine is spec #30564, serial #1818204802.

My father owned this tractor from new and I assisted in the restoration. The tractor has been very well maintained throughout the years.
It runs extremely well with no oil smoke. The mower deck functions as expected.

I also have all the original manuals including:

1-014-267-R1 Battery instructions
1-014-250-R3 Operator’s manual
1-014-274-R1 Fender installation instructions
GSS-1292 Engine service manual
TC-82 Tractor and implement parts catalog
GSS-1291 Chassis manual
1-007-477-R4 38 inch rotary mower operator’s manual
1-009-968-R2 Model BB-36 snow thrower manual
PL-388-Z Tractor and implements parts price list circa 11/20/1961
Kohler engines parts catalogs for both engines

If you are not interested in the manuals I can place them on a separate sale

Local pickup only

Email with questions and I will do my best to respond accurately in short order.
