Allen Schumacher

that a tool for the wife to use. She would not stop buying shrubs and flowers that I can`t get close to them with the Cub so she now has to do the cutting in for me. She is now learning lol.

LUCAS - I'd trust the date line on the home page of this forum L-O-N-G before I'd trust a classified ad.

I know for a FACT that IH didn't move Inventory to MTD/CCC until mid-year 1981. I talked to the mat'l mgr @ IH's LVL plant in person about that time. IH was shipping 2-3 semi-loads a day in June/July '81. NOT 1980.

I just woke, i should have been more awake before I wrote anything.

If you wanted a quiet line which would be better
for everyday use a 1650 or a 1250 I have the choice of either a 782 86 1250 or a 1650.

Lucas you say quite line but ask about a wide frame 86, 82series 782 and then quite lines so what do you want to know?

I'm almost ready to vote for a 782 as a nice tractor. Think it's a keeper!

Ok i`ll tell, there is a 1961 grill bottom left, A 1512 D and a chrapsment and a 1962 O in that line and a 129 loader and a 147 . then a 149 on the right. lol

Lucas,
More Power is almost always better to a point, but temper that against the condition of the beast you are considering and the price the seller is asking. As a 129 owner, I do covet the extra grunt that a 149/169/1450/1650 would deliver to me, and could have put it to good use when I was blowing snow this past winter. I also would find the quieter running xx50 and x82 tractors more desirable, but in good running condition, they are much pricier than the 129 that is my current workhorse.

If I could have any Cub I wanted, I would probably go with the 1282 Diesel (might as well go all the way), followed by a 782 or 982 with either the Onan or Kohler Series II engine as my front line tractor.

I wont use it for much but it will be out every day being used I do like the cast iron kholers the best 1650 sucks alot of gas so it isrealy between the 86 and the 1250 they are not running I also like the open moter but would like to plow and use a tiller and snowblower.

What is the difference between the 1200 and the 1250

Lucas your comparing apples to oranges with the 86 and the 1250 8 hp vs 12 hp
1200 is GD 1250 is HYDRO
