You run tubes so that when you accidentally unseat the tire while driving, you don't lose all of the fluid. There's nothing like watching 6 gallons of RV antifreeze/washer fluid/beet juice/Rim Guard spread into a HUGE, vibrantly-colored puddle beneath you as you plow snow....BTDT...I use tubes now...

...At least all that mess melted the snow in the neighbor's driveway while I went back home to get another rim and tire...

Is it wrong for a 53 year old man to get excited about a 30 year old tractor? Thanks for the pics and video, Charlie!

April's going to be a great month:
1. I get a refund from IRS (first time in 5 years).
2. Plow Day.
3. Winning a new plow as door prize at Plow Day (think positive!).
4. Picking up a new-to-me tractor.

It doesn't get much better than that. Unless, of course, I hit the lottery!

I'm just catching up with all the posts after having a little computer trouble. I couldn't help but notice a comment posted by KENtuckyKEN yesterday at 4:54pm:

"The electric front lift blade dug out some big rocks ! I'm happy with it ..."

Has anyone ever known "The Grump" to be happy before? Must be Spring Fever!

Remco, All 6'5" of me is Dutch!

I have been told,
"If you aren't Dutch you aren't much"

Sure I will get some feedback on that comment!

Lift arm question: I'm adding a 3 pt. to my 1450. I don't know what these parts are called so bear with me- The part under the center of the tractor where the cylinder attaches and the lift arm attaches- There seems to be multiple holes for the cylinder and the lift arm to attach. Can someone post a picture or describe what mounts into which holes?? Incidentally, I have done a search and all I found were diagrams of the parts for the 3 pt. hitch. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Theodore, I see what you are talking about,I looked it up. I wonder what his reserve is?
