It could be that it was a 147. The box of parts had both a wide frame and a narrow frame mule drive. I've got to sort through the stuff tonight.

I was at my local parts place today and we got to yarning about tractors. I said I need a new pan gasket for my 125. He said I have gaskets here that fit a Kohler 10 hp 12HP and 14Hp in stock . I bought one and when home to install it. bummer the dang gasket is way longer that my pan.SO , I thought all Kohler blocks were the same

Charlie,
Thanks the reminder. Sometimes I forget your faq is there. It is a great list of problem solving anecdotes.

oh on the contrary!

I read the FAQ's every chance I get. I need this wealth of information to keep me going. I prolly DO NOT post questions every 5 minutes because i have faith I'll find results in the all knowing FAQs!

Keep them FAQs coming and everyone will have less stress and more fun with their Cub Cadet

Soooooo, i have the Cam assembly replacement done with new shims, new trunnion springs, pivot bush, joints balls, and the rod adjusted to previous settings. Ready to reassemble rear end to frame.

Until... whilst cleaning up the frame upside down I realized the wire harness is readily accessible so I might as well get the new harness in place right away.

Question: my replacement wire harness does not have the original Cadet protective covering and thickness. I am planning to run your basic plastic wire housing from a local auto supply. Any suggestions or comments on this? I want to make this right so, once its done, its DONE.

TIA, danWI

Kraig-

As I was cleaning, I did not see any leakage or build-up of crud around the cork gasket area. I left it be in hopes alls well. Now that the Hydro is all clean, I'll check for leakage when I run the the tractor the first few hours next week. Thanks for ther FAQ tip, danWI

Dan Bauer

I do read the faq , but I did not have my confusher with me today, I did see his listing and never gave it another thought as to fit.

I have used the split plastic wiring cover on my truck wiring. I made up a harness for the 7 pin
electric brake wires. I did use electrical tape and wound that over the split to keep the wires intact. I have done the same Mod to my 14' decked Cub hauler trailer for all the wires and brake wires.I have not had a problem since . Worked good for me.

GOOD to hear Don! I wasn't going to wrap the housing but I have the loom tape so might as well. Thanks for the tips, danWI

My wife posted this picture on her Fakebook page and said something about "addiction".
She's right. It's time for the two rototillers to go. (extreme left corner)
