Hi Guy's I've had aerators on my mind lately. I've never used one before. What's better a plug type, spikes, and I see some companies have a curved disks that must dig in and pull up the ground. Kinda looks like the curved disk type might not skip sections and leave slits but full length slots thughout the lawn. I was thinking that this might be the better design. Anyone with experience please chime in. How do they hold up in clay ground?

Don T. I don't see no stinkin dents. What a beautiful finish!!!

does anyone know if the grease fitting on the front axel of the 128 is threaded in or pressed in mine broke off and whats left in there just spins?

Now that the balance gears are out of 147 #4 its time to fix the leaky Hydro cork gasket. The new cork gasket has a 3m adhesive backing on it, I don't remember the adhesive backing on the other gaskets I've installed. I figured I would take some pictures of the fix.

Here is the ride.

Once you get used to splitting the tractors you know how to feel your way around under the tunnel.

A little vacuuming, scraping, brushing, air blowing and rags and I can see paint.

Now that it's cleaned up, I tipped it back and split the drive train.

It's all back together again but it looks like I hit a snag. I should have bought some trunnion springs. I have to wait until Monday to go on a parts run. It might be hard to see but the big spring has almost a 1/4" slop.
