So I can remove the large bolts that they are in the center of? These would cause the tractor to not move and no hydraulics? I know it is a release but didn't think I would lose forward and reverse and hydros

Christian, yes you can remove the check valves. Just be sure to clean the area around them really good BEFORE you remove them as you do NOT want any contamination to get down inside the Hydrostatic Charge Pump.

Hopefully yours are not as dirty as these...

Dennis,
if I can ever find the one I am missing to complete my collection, I will gladly sell him all the other ones I come across. hahaha.

Mine definitely doesn't look like that!! Super clean but seized up, so I would need to get new O rings and washers before removing or can I use the existing ones and clean well? Would this cause mine to not move and have no hydros?

What can I soak them in from the top? Can anything get by those or can I use pb blaster?

Christian, well by the book you'd want new O-rings and seals but you could probably get by using the originals. Before you remove them you could try PB Blaster and a good set of pliers first and see if you can get them to pop back up. A pick or small screw driver might be helpful too, to gently try to pry them up. BTW, the ones in the photo I posted worked just fine even being that encrusted in oil/dirt/grass, etc.

Kraig - Oh Great One Keeper of the Photos - the hydro pump in your pic below looks like it's on a "Quiet Line" tractor. Do you know which model?

Tom H and Jim H - you know, when I was picking up these units I'd buy everyone I could afford. There just weren't that many around me to choose from. I do remember turning down a 1650 for $400 - it didn't run, had no side panels, muffler box was a mess (duct likely all cracked), seemed like the rubbers in the ISO mounts were completely gone as I could flop the engine side to side without resistance - so with all this what else might be wrong. I just decided I couldn't get them all.

I have a mower deck that was given to me and I'm trying to find out what it is. the no. on it is 482u1113 and I figured out its a 48" but which one and what it fits I don't know. Any info would help.

Looks like I have several choices.

Main Frame and Knife Unit -48" Blade- Part 1 (1963-1968)
Main Frame and Knife Unit -48" Blade- Part 2 (1968-1971)
Main Frame and Knife Unit -48" Blade- Part 3 (1971-1973)

Nothing else to do at the moment. I really can't figure out witch model this is so I can tell what it fits.

Hydro, the really dirty one in the color photo is from a 105. The excerpt from the manual could be any wide frame, who knows...

Keith, it's a "Main Frame and Knife Unit -48" Blade- Part 2 (1968-1971) ". The Quick Attach points, 45° angle on the top rear of the deck housing and the round runners are the tell tale details. It would be for the 1x4/5 through 1x6/7 series. Though it will fit others.

Harry,
I will make you a deal. If I have a chance to buy another quite line I will defiantly pass to give you a better chance @ owning more.

Jim H - you must be developing an accent when you say "quite line". I like the QUI'-et Line, but they have to be within a 50 mile radius and I no longer travel to the frozen tundras of the great Mid-West, or the eastern mid-west, or the flat lands of the western east. As it is I'm dealing with 40 days of rain (+/- 1 or 2 with sun breaks).

Kraig - Oh Great One Keeper of the Photos - ya, I was talking about the really dirty one. I see a rubber rag joint and didn't recall a 105 having that. Charlie cut it off in his enhanced details of the pic

Keith O - if you got the original correct sub-frame with it then you can use it on most all the narrow frames. If you want to use it on a W/F you'll have to have a W/F sub-frame that has the pulleys parallel to the tractor frame. (Angled pulleys are for the 44 and 50 decks).

Hydro, yep it's from a 1x5 and it cleaned up real nice. And I mistyped, it was in a 125 not a 105. The reason I was thinking 105 was that the frame and some other parts from this 125 went to salvage a 105 that a tree fell on during a tornado that hit Siren WI back on June 18 2001 The guy who owned the 105 had just finished refurbishing it. His parents had purchased it new. The tree landed on the rear of the 105 and bent the frame. It also bent the manual lift arm over and did some other damage. I normally don't part Cub Cadets but this one went to a good cause.

Thanks Kraig - I now actually remember the story of the tree falling, etc. Glad it went to a good home.
Ok, now I'm waiting for Charlie to enhance your updated pic. I can still see the eyes and nose, but the beard and lips are obscure. Your turn Charlie.

Kraig, looks like it needs a trunion repair.

and Charlie the emerging artist,
