Charlie, right after the hat discussion lol

Charlie,
I was gonna mention that when I edited my post to give a warm welcome, but I figured someone else would.

Howdy fellas! Well, my IH Cub Cadet 1450 received some genuine Cub Cadet parts yesterday! First, I now have all new 1 inch front wheel bearings for my new front rims from Cub Cadet. These bearings are made in USA, amazingly! I'd like to point out that my new factory rims came with a grease fitting already installed.

Next, I now have all 4 genuine Cub Cadet ISO mounts for the 1450's Kohler K321AQS! No offence to Charlie, and with all respect, but these new factory mounts are much different from other choices out there. With bran new rag joints, it is my hope that most of the operation vibration will be eliminated!

I also picked up a cork gasket for the hydro pump. Its still too cold for me to enjoy tinkering on my 1450 out in the shop, so in the mean time I'm making sure I have all my tools laid out and ready to install the engine!

I'm very excited about working on my 1450 and just wanted to share! I have been spending time in Charlie's faq's, to make sure I do a good job and documentation of my current thread.

Thank you all for making IH Cub Cadet.com the very best forum on the net!

John, I'm right there with Ya!! Just got the fender pan off the 1650 today and it was warm enough, +41 Woooo Hoooo!!!, that I got the pressure washer out and gave it a good bath before I begin probably Monday. Should make things a whole lot less messy. Sure glad I have a overhead lift set-up and lift table.

Good Luck and be carefull!

Charlie, Yup! Those are just what I picked up. I had originally thought, and agreed with you on the Moog after market mounts. Those mounts did work fine for me. What sold me on installing the factory motor kit was the fact that I had to pull my K321AQS out for a third time because my grease fittings on my front axel were facing toward my rear tires. So I flipped the axel around to the correct position. And the fact that original parts are preferred by most.

Just picked up new front rims from Cub Cadet and they did not come with bearings. Perhaps they could have, I'm not sure.

Davis S, Thank you! And good luck tinkering with your 1650! I'm excited about working on my 1450 as I will be using it! I got many parts to keep mine in service for many years. However, I still need to fill out an order with CCSpecialties soon!

Thanks!

Since Cub Cadet switched the design a few years back, the new ones are tons better than what they used to have.
The bad thing is, no one wants to cut loose of the money to get a complete set, so the after market (Not Moog) are what seems to be the thing these days.

David S. While your fenders are off take the time and get some neoprene gasket maker. I got some from NAPA a few years ago. Measure and cut some strips to mount between the fenders and the frame of your tractor. Do the same with the front grill where it mounts to the frame. You'll be amazed at how much vibration that will remove from the tractor. I did it to both the Keepsake and Fancy's 1650 front grills and the 14 horse 108. You'll be amazed at how much quieter and less hood vibration there is. I'll get the neoprene part number tomorrow morning. It is the same thickness as the cork gasket material for the hydro pump/motor.

John L. That gasket material I mentioned above will also take away some of the initial vibration (when placed between the fenders and the frame) caused when breaking in those new Cub Cadet isomounts.

Martin H didnt you have a grounding problem with the lights ,using a gasket between the grill and the frame ,
