Teledyne surplus engine !!! well I don`t see why Charlie would
or head banger on my post . really ! TWO of our sponsors have used these engines or made improvements in them . Kirk engines did the write up on the air plane engine to show what little that had to be done to make over 30 hp. Our other sponsor Aaron did a swap also http://www.xtrememotorworks.com/Cub%20Cadet%20982T.htm on a 982 that he has. I think they are a well balance engine and were used for many different applications in the US military from generators to pump engines . They sell really at a low cost compared to most mag replacements and make much more HP. I for one would much rather have all the HP I could get for the lowest cost when it comes to a replacement engine . Seems it was OK to mention a 2 cylinder air-cooled Deutz diesel . So the head banging kind a make s me confused as to what is post able when I read all the post here and see the train off the rails many times .I have heard a Teledyne engine run up hear in a generator that was used by the US army that could be dropped from an air plane. It ran so smooth with little vibration and was quitter than I thought it should be. I would like to hear from Aaron as to how that engine works in his build . I bet he is happy with his effort.
