Sure seems like points & condensers don't last as long as they used to. Back in the 60's when everything had points & cond. or was a diesel... still a few magneto's around too, points & condenser were supposed to be replaced every 250 hours or 10,000 miles. But I know Dad ran some tractors 400-500 hours before a tune-up, new points, plugs, condenser and they still started & ran O-K.

Now day's you're lucky if they last 100-150 hours!

Cut the grass today... it needs to grow faster so I can get more seat time. Problem is, rain has been few and far between here in SE MI.

I hate mowing with a machine that's doing a good enough job to suit me. It gives me too much time to think.

Matthew: All kinds of thoughts. Like 149's with hydraulic lift really rule. I hope you're looking for one for when you lose your youth and strength!

Story: Ironically, the one on the left with the bug eye headlights is named Matthew. My next door neighbor hauled it up here from New York in late 2010 and he and I are both fans of "Gunsmoke". I didn't want another tractor at the time but he pulled the guilt trip on me ("Well I bought it for you") so we gave him $500 for it. Now, it would take a lot for me to part with it.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Allen: Yes, regularly on an irregular schedule.
(Like now - mowing, waiting for paint on Cubhouse floor to dry, and posting).
