Is there a web site for buying/selling ihccs other than Craig's list????

Digger, after reading a ton of comments in the archives about the balance gears, I see that it doesn't take a sledgehammer to break the upper balance gears. That's what concerned me about the FAQ you posted. So I will remove them. Thanks for the help.

Vincent,

Nice score on the 128! I can see you now.....

Does anyone have a link to a video about how to adjust the clutch on an original cub?

Did a little bit of work this evening.
Sandblasted and primed some of my grilles.

Can someone help me out with the serial number for my originals 53872 and 49938.

Digger ,i have seen two cubs with the timing hole with a plug in them ,might be a good idea to place a plug in the hole ,to force more air over the head ,along with the holes in the sheet metal ober the head ,

Here's a good one. A gentleman called me and needed some carb work. He has a 128 and a 48" mower he wants to use (I tried explaining about hydrostats and mowing vs GD). Anyway, he shows up today and brought the deck. I have never seen PO work like this and this is how the current owner got it. The rear pins/brackets have been removed and replaced with a good example why we shouldn't do drugs. To mount the deck you have to wrench one of the "new" brackets from underneath every time.

And the tension idler...did I miss something yet again? Has anyone seen this style before?

There is also a bolt mounted I guess to help control belt flap.

The current owner found the spindle covers which were wrong but he made them work. All but one small piece of the baffling is missing too. Two of the spindles have a nice wiggle that I haven't really looked at yet. It should be a fun project...(ahem).

Wonder how those outside blades cut in tall grass with 2" of belt wrap on the drive pulley........

Some people shouldn't own tools........

......12" tall, 3rd gear, looked GREAT!.....

Wayne, that's actually a "pin on" deck. The rear connection brackets are stock. They have however been raised up for some reason with spacers.

Here's a link to the Operator's Manual for that series of decks.
