Well we made it back from behind the cheddar curtain just in time to beat the rain.
Got it from the 2nd owner and it runs like a champ!

Charlie - I hate to get personal man but ... aint yer shifter a little short ?

Kentuck,
Yea, it's a little floppy too!

I'll post pics tomorrow of one of the best little cast end decks I've seen in a long time.
And the rubber seat is dang near mint.
The tractor has never been left outside and he said it had never been rained on.

Charlie, nice find. Wonder why that shifter is so short kinda looks like it's off of a 100 or something quik Q anyone know how ya tell when a throw out bearing is going bad?

Henri,
It's not short, it's just tilted toward the camera.

Signs of a throwout bearing going bad can be, it's screamin at ya, grinding noise, not going in gear to well or not at all, vibration and so on.

Charlie, so that might be my shifting problem thanx

ChrisB,I know that it's acouple of days late but that tractor you built is a work of art,a real head turner, great job!!

Henri,
It could be as well as many others things too.
Not seeing or using your tractor, I don't have a clue.
The throwout bearing on a Cub is clearly visible, so you should be able to eyeball it and see if it's bad. Same with the arm that moves it.
#10 in this pic,

Anyone here going to the Marshall-Putnam Antique Association show in Lacon, Illinois June 9&10? They are featuring IH this year.

Henri: Following up Charlie's post, # 10 has a tendency to wear where it contacts the T/O bearing (#3) and can cause you all manner of grief and # 4 gets weak or breaks.

Replace # 3, #4, & #10, adjust according to the Operator/Owner's manual and you will be a happy declutcher....

Well upon inspection #4 is broken thanx for everyones help

Nice rig Charlie. The fenders sort of look like the ones on my old mans green machine. Those aren't factory are they?

Am I cured ? " 3 cub cadet tractors snowblower and plow for same also duel wheels $200 must take all or nothing "

Hi guys, That is one strange cub Charlie! I'd like to look it over closer sometime and have you explain it to me!
I got back late last night from taking in the Big toy show and lawn & garden Expo & parade at Dyersville Iowa. I don't remember seeing any other cubs at the event but this one of mine.

IOt got lots of attention.

My 82 series tractor is leaking between the pump and case. Is there a diagram of the thing that might help? I appreciate any help.
Thanks,
David
