Hi, guys it's being difficult for me to determine where to post this so I hope it is alright posting here? I am wanting to make a copy of a Jiffy Balling sickle bar mower for my cc70, I already have a cutter bar and some other key parts to be able to make one but I was wondering if anyone had one they were willing to take some measurements of the key parts such as the length and bracket size, any help will be appreciated. Thanks

That's Really something!!!

YES You are in the "Right" Place, I don't have any Sickle Bar measurements for you, sorry about that. I'm just wondering are there many IH Cubs in the UK? How about getting parts, is that really tough over there? I'm in the Mid West USA right between Louisville and Chicago and this area is Rich w/ old Cubs.

Happy 4th Everyone!!!!

Jason W.
I just looked and it seems I have 63 guys and gals in the UK region that I ship parts to on a regular bases.
So to answer your question, I know of at least 63, so that means there's probably thousands, LOL

Ewan, if you'll contact me through my website, cubcadetman.com, I'll try to help you out. There may already be some stuff there you'll find useful.

Jerry,
What a tractor!

Charlie,
You still have that beauty?

Went to the big tractor show in Denton, NC Saturday. Saw a lot of cub cadets, but almost all of them needed a refurbish. They looked sad.

Question:
I have a couple of knobs that look exactly like the lift locking knob on a 1x8/1x9 series.
The only difference is the threaded stud on these are 3/8 in. dia. instead of 1/2 in.
Anyone know what this knob goes to? Maybe the QL series?

Thanks for the help. I was able to replace the steering column and also replaced the clutch. What a pain in the rear. Been putting it off for awhile. Glad to finally get it finished.

Bob E., I'm pretty sure everyone is right. A tapered hole in the end of the shaft will cause the shaft to center on the ball. And as you say, this will also carry the loading of any rearward thrust.
