Your going to have to get to the relief valves and loosen them up.
I have heard of guys slamming it in forward and reverse to free them up, but I never thought much of that idea.
So my suggestion would be to clean the top of the valves up to get them loose again.

Hope everyone has a great 4th!

Well I searched my files and couldn't find a pic of the complete carriages for comparison.

I , we , Kraig , somebody needs to do a side-by-side shot of them for future reference and the archives.<!-/quote-!>

Do you mean like David Schmidt did back in October 2001?

I'll overlook your comment on the 125... this time.

Gerry, WELCOME BACK!!!

Charlie, Troy, that isn't the proper windbreaker cab mount for a 102. The cab I have for my 125 is the same as would fit a 102. Saturday, I had planned on taking some measurements of the frame/brackets for you Troy, but due to some storms that went through the area on Friday evening I had to drive 80+ miles north to deliver my generator to my in-laws as they are without power. After I dropped the generator off, I drove another 20 miles farther north to check on my cabin. No damage at the cabin but the area a few miles from it is devastated. Mile after mile of trees down and across the road. Thousands if not tens of thousands of trees are down.

I got home around 3:30 in the morning on Sunday slept for a few hours then got up and went to church. Yeah I'm a bit tired but I digress. I'll eventually get the measurements for you Troy.

Jeff G., WELCOME!

Most likely the relief valves are stuck down. What exactly does the tractor do? Will it go under it's own power forward or backward? If it will go in at least one direction you might be able to get the valve to pop back up by running it in the direction that it does move and then rather forcefully moving the hydro control lever into the other direction. So, if it will move in reverse run it in reverse for a few feet then push the lever forward and it should eventually let loose. However be careful as it is quite capable of doing rather spectacular wheelies! Don't ask me how I know, that was a long time ago, no one saw me and you can't prove a thing...

Joe Lewis, I have an Orange (Simp) Prestige with 24x12x12's on the rear. They are wider than any rears that I've had on CC's since '73.

Update: On Friday, I posted a question about where to find the neutral switch on a Model 107. Jeremiah and Kraig were a big help, and Kraig had some great photos. Here's the update. I dropped the mower, and sure enough, there was the broken spring steel piece. It fits on the brake pedal rod, as predicted. Looks like it just snaps in place. To test my theory, I held the switch "in", and turned the key. Motor turned over. Mystery solved. Just need to get a new J-piece. Here's what it looked like. You can see where it snapped apart.

I have more than one tractor here that has that switch jumped. I hate to mess with safety equipment , but i`am the only operator . Later Don T

Brandon,
You might as well give that "O" to me so I can put a good paint job on it!

It would look good sitting beside it's brother!

Marty- I do plan on painting that original and its brother which has fenders on it when I get the time and money to do so. You have a very nice looking original.

How do I keep my "O" hood from rattling so bad without just using a bungy cord over the top of it? Just wondering if I am missing the proper hardware or this is just the norm. Happy 4th to all of you. Tim P.

Timothy M. Pennell

Ok ,I use the little bumpers that you have on doors in kitchen cabinets to control the rattle on my hoods. They are real cheap and clear and will stick to paint. They can be cut down if they are too thick so the hood lines are not altered.. Works for me .

That`s a great looking Original you have there. I have one apart with all the same options as yours. Soon I have to get back at it. Thanks for that picture !
