Doug M.,

Welcome.

When you turn the key is there a clicking sound? This would be the Starter Solenoid. No click - bad connections at SS, ignition switch, etc. Clicking sound - issue likely between SS and starter motor.

I would check for loose ground connections, at the battery, start solenoid, engine to block, etc. The connections at the battery often have issues with corrosion.

It has the correct solid pin. Not a roll pin. Replacing a hood hinge along with the fan has turned into moving the engine. Might as well take off the fenders, clean the hydro fins, and adjust the brakes too.

Everyone have a good and safe Fourth of July!

Thank y'all for the help. I found a bad ground connection on the solenoid so I have to go get a new one here in a bit. The ground pin snapped off when I was trying to tighten it down.

Also, I feel like I need a tag line like many of the folks on here. Let me know what you think of this one.

Ain't no feelin' like Cub mobilin'

Has anyone ever replaced the spring in the front PTO release handle? If so, what would be the chances of finding one?

I am referring to the 102,122 series.

Well I am at a complete loss. When I was mowing on Thursday the tractor died. It cranked for a few times and then went dead. And since then I have replaced the battery, the ignition coil, the solenoid and the ignition switch and still nothing at all, no clicking-no grinding-no nothing. Any place I should check or what should I replace next?

I really don't want to re-wire the whole thing but that may be next on the list.
