David, yep rural location all the electric and phone lines are underground.

David - Power lines ? Do you see any lights on in his house ??

Charlie - You had your truck out doing donuts in the snow yet ????

Charlie, Alexander S: Note that the LL-230 installation sheet posted is for the Narrow Frames as shown in the inset, while the Gard-N-Cart model LL-200 was for the 1961-1963 Original model Cub Cadet. The difference is mainly the mounting brackets. Normally, IIRC, the LL-230 instruction sheet shows both versions while the earlier Gard-N-Cart Model LL-200 sheet does not..

I got rid of 37 last year and I'm not gonna get back up to any where close to that anytime soon.
I'm down to a comfortable 22.<!-/quote-!><hr size=0></blockquote>

<font size="-1">Crap! I think I have more than Charlie does. Or at least, I did. In fact, I don't even know how many I have...

Charlie, Myron, Thanks for the info. Wouldn't happen to have the instructions and maintenance sheet for the reverse pto unit that you could for the cubs and cub cadets. I purchased one a while back, cleaned it up and repainted it for a project 71 that I'm doing.

Charlie your a tease with the snow....again

Since you can do all you ever need to with just one, any more than that is a waste.......(moves you from user status to "collector", just like those yuppies that started buying 60's Mustangs) (oh, I've got a 129 and a 149, but I <u>needed</u> the 149, cause it had the hydraulic lift - and I'm gonna go back and look at that "O" I didn't buy last summer, and my next door neighbor just gave me a location on one of those with the slanty grill, but I don't know whether I could go for <u>that</u> style)

Kraig, that last page took over 10 min to load. but thanks! Am not getting any snow to play in anymore. Almost miss that up at 5:00 to plow in town.

Hi, new to the group with a question. I have a rolling chassis with a s/n 19161, but it has square fenders and seat. Is there any other identifiers to determine if it is an Original someone modified. Thanks

Geez... I have just seven Cub Cadets. Eight if I were to count the Original back in eastern Iowa that would be a box rebuild.

With the wind blowing as hard as it is right now and as cold as it is I'm sure glad that it isn't snowing much.

Tom - Welcome to da forum.
That serial number is for an Original , it should look like Bryan's old one above.

Kweaver - hard to tell. It does not have the round fenders or the pan seat. I also have no hood. I hoped there was a feature on the frame or transmission that would prove it. My concern with the s/n is a small space between the 19 and the 161. wanted to be sure there was not a digit missing.

Tom - See the pic above ? It has no frame over the rear end - it bolts to the front of the trans.

I got the rubber snow blade cutting edge that I bought from Paul K. mounted up:

We might get some slushy snow on Friday, so that will be the perfect test for it. After I finished putting it all together, I tucked the 106 into my Cub Shed:

It's a tractor cover from Northern Hydraulics. I actually have a nice 12x14 shed, but when the frost heaves the ground up, I can't get the doors open until spring.

speaking of s/n, I tried locating mine on my 102 and there is nothing on the tab on the right side of the transmission next to the upside down casting number 385058R1, there is no tag below the seat on the rear end and there is no tag on the back of the rear end by the hitch. Is there any other way to find out or is that pretty much it. I got the s/n and spec number off of the motor and it is a k241 built in 1967. Makes sense to be a 102 but did a PO put a different motor into it? Any help would be appreciated.
