Rob, ah, I thought you were being sarcastic. 1450?
1a_scratchhead.gif
I know he likes the 147 too...

1450 is correct! It came with a front blade, Tire Chains, and 26lb IH wheel weights. Who says 120 bucks does not buy much these days! (Of course we all know Charlie would have found it with a mower deck and gotten the whole deal for 80 bucks!) anyway, I'm happy with the purchase.

Rob, wow, nice find! Sounds like you bought a set of wheel weights and got the rest for free.

That was the reasoning I used with my wife. I'll find out tonite if she bought it if my key still works when I get home tonite! lol

Wheel weights came with a set of genuine stamped IH mounting bolts, and the tire chains have no wear on them.

The not so great news is that the front blade is worn down to the mounting holes, and the tractor does not run, however it does turn over and is pretty much a complete K321.

I will take some pic's tonite of my find and post tomorrow.

I got an odd ball question. Is there 37 different models of IH built garden tractors? Does anybody have a complete set?

Edited once again to reflect the real reason that some are questionable as GTs and add the 482.

I forgot the 1282, didn't count the 482, thanks kraig. Did you mean to make an 1100 questionable instead of the 1000

I broke down and bought a tap for the exhaust port, run the tap through the threads, use a little anti-seize..... problem solved.

Kraig:
You've got ALL of them and she still won't let you build a barn to keep 'em in????

I`am thinking batteries and well how many of them run and are useable ? You made my day..... Later Don

No, No, No! I do NOT have all of them. I was posting the models for Dave. As for complete tractors I have quantity 2, of the model 125, quantity 2, of the model 105, and quantity 1 of the Original. As for parts tractors, I have most of a single model 149 and bits and pieces of a single model 107 and bits and pieces of several model 1x4/5.

All of those and only ONE really good looking one

Kendell, three, They made the 122, 72 and the 149.

It's really hard to pick just one favorite.

Kraig,
IH built a 582 special,1000 and the 1100, but did not build the 1282. It was built by Cub Cadet Corp, painted red, and sold by IH ag dealers from 1982-85

Paul, thanks for the correction! I was thinking of the 1100 when I entered the 1000, and I thought the 1282 was IH built.

That's what I get for being in a hurry. I edited my post below to reflect them.

Dave, yes. See my comment to Paul above.

Thanks for the help guys. I chased the threads in the block this summer when it was a bare block. It did not occur to me that the nipple would be too large. A friend of mine owns a plumbing company, he should have a thread machine, or just a die, to fix my nipple.

Kraig, I used to think the 1282 was IH built, also, because mine has the IH logo on front and says Cub Cadet by International Harvester on the dash, but it's not built by IH. Don't remember right now what the tag on the frame says, but it's not Cub Cadet Corporation--says whatever they did during the transitional period. It's out in the pole building or I'd check it.

Jerry
