Doug B - did you really post that last message? After my warning about not modifying the sub-frame, you went ahead and did what looks like a terrific job AND NOW you're letting a little flat back U-bolt get to you. The little sleeves are like bushings. If your armstrong lift arm does "not" have that tin metal cover towards the bottom (like the 1 shown in Frank C's last pics) then you need the little sleeves/bushing. All they do is keep the attaching bracket from rotating on the lift arm. The key item you need is the flat back U-bolt. It's not actually fully flat either, close but has some rounding right where it fits against the lift arm. With your artistry ability (as evidenced with the sub-frame and lift rod) I'm certain you can make one. If Kraig or someone else comes up with a pic of a lift arm withOUT the tin cover and with the bracket, U-bolt and sleeves it will be a whole heck of alot easier to see and understand - and then really easy for you.
